IE supports a "bgsound" tag. However, for the sound to work in both Netscape and IE, you need to use the "bgsound" tag and the "***** " tag. I think bgsound goes in the "body" tag, but I'm not sure. "***** " should be placed somewhere near the beginning of the document, in the body. Of course, you'll have to fill in the URL to the sound file in the "***** " tag (I assume you know at least a bit about HTML). To make it play once, you use this attribute in the "***** " tag: LOOP=FALSE (I believe). I'm pretty sure this is correct, but it's been a long time since I put sound files in webpages that play automatically (I don't use that very often). Try it, and if it doesn't work, I'll buy you a Coke.
