The civilizations on this planet were created by UPS(or whatever gΓΆvt you want), and they are all covered in large progected domes. You wonder how they were able to settle the planet with it's raging firey atmosphere.

This large, well-hidden planet, hidden deep inside the dead man's land between the worlds of (insert two races here), is often passed by pilots without a second glance because of its uninhabited appearance. However, the Dyal maintain a small base in the base of one of the craters on the pockmarked planet in case of an emergency. Although there isn't much here, it is indeed a good hiding place, you reflect as you float above the surface with the partially cloaked base barely appearing on your sensors.

This is where all of the renegade leaders supposedly spend their time off. • Lasekoda -- make it kind of close to Sirgil

The third planet colonized by the United People of Sirgil, this planet was one of the most technologically advanced UPS colonies during the early phases of exploration, surpassed only by Sirgil itself. Unfortunately, the aggressive and exploitative mining the Sirgilese (or whatever the adjective is) used to strip the planet of its bountiful resources made it a wasteland, with almost all the metal reserves depleted through hundreds of years of thoughtless plunder. This was compounded by a few "accidents" caused by poorly maintained nuclear energy facilities. After the Sirgilese finally abandoned it, ComTec took over and are still managing to turn a profit from scavenging the remains of the numerous mines for equipment and melting down or selling what they find. They also maintain the outfit shop and shipyard to augment their revenues further.

      (bar)
This planet's bar is packed with poor former mine laborers, most now scavenging for ComTec, who almost to a man look sick from the polluted air outside. The drink-serving equipment looks extremely dated and unhygienic, and the automated drink mixers left over from the planet's technological heyday are using materials that don't look too healthy. You decide not to buy anything from here.

      Large, red planet
      High-tech outfit shop, high-tech shipyard
Commodity exchange -- food, high; metal, low; equipment, low; pick the rest as you wish

      ------------------------------------------------------

Miyoda -- second planet in Lasekoda's system

After the mines on Lasekoda started to run out, the Sirgilese, not learning from their mistakes on Lasekoda, started mining the slightly smaller planet Miyoda. The mines here, although rich, were not as profitable as the ones on Lasekoda, and much of the expensive mining equipment was wasted; when the UPS started losing massive amounts of money on the planet, they handed it over to ComTec. Now, ComTec continues to mine the planet, in a more profitable, efficient, and "environmentally friendly" way, selling and melting down the old Sirgilese equipment to supplement the mining income. The planet remains at a low technology level, but the efficient ComTec mining operations keep the economy running.

      (bar)
The miners who occupy this bar look much healthier than those on Lasekoda, not least because of the cleaner air and largely automated work (thanks to retrofitted Sirgilese equipment). The bar is not as packed, either; apparently, the happier employees here don't need to drown themselves in drink. Overall, it is a very friendly and clean place.

      Medium, red planet
      No outfit shop or shipyard
Commodity exchange -- food, medium; metal, low; equipment, low; pick the rest as you wish

      ------------------------------------------------------

Bariloda -- moon anywhere in the system

When the Lasekoda mines ran out, the Sirgilese scouted this moon as well, looking for metal deposits under the water that covers most of the world. They found none, and ceded the useless moon to ComTec along with the two planets in the system. Upon taking the planet, ComTec -- never people to let a possible profit go by -- found a different kind of treasure in the deeps of the moon's oceans, a very tasty and healty seaweed variant that grows abundantly in the water. The company, not wanting to depend on equipment manufactured by. Now the moon, other than the small, clean factories that sparsely dot the surface, looks as pastoral as it ever did -- and still makes huge amounts of money for ComTec from the sale of the food.

      Moon, water
      No outfit shop or shipyard
Commodity exchange -- food, low; metal, high; equipment, medium; pick the rest as you wish

Can I make a pyro govt? No. I already have 5 major govt and 5 or 6 minor govts. Another one would not add anything to the plug.

      When will it be done?
I have no idea. I still need to write misns, finish sbobs, make some more systs, finish some more graphic, and make descs for the outfits (Please, no help on these). This could take as long as a year and a half. When I need beta testers, I will ask.

The wonderous planet came to be only 40 or 50 years ago, when three planets collided at the same time. As a result, the land masses move around often. If you come again in a year, it will probably look different. The first person to discover the fused planets, Thodra R'co, created many huge movable tourist attractions, so that they could be moved if that particular continent split. Currently, all of the parks are closed, due to the evolvement of a carniverous plant called Grasta that looks just like grass. Scientists are searching 24/7 for a pesticide that will kill them. However, you can still enter the shops and bars.
      (bar)
The 'Tourista' is filled with talk about the latest pesticide that didn't work. Fried Grasta is availible on special request. It contains many of the vitamins you need, and tastes very good. However, when you ask the manager how much it costs, you go away with your knees shaking.

    • Whee, this is more fun than I could have ever thought possible... πŸ™‚

      Fedak

This lush, jungle-covered planet drew ecologists from all around the galaxy when it was first discovered, because of one oddity -- this was one of the very rare planets that, although hospitable to life, developed absolutely none (except, of course, the plants), even though the central star was quite old enough to allow animals to develop. The current prevailing theory to explain this hypothesizes that the planet was captured and moved into the "temperate zone" around the star far after the star was formed, so there was no time for mobile life to develop. The theory conveniently ignores the fact that the second planet in the system, Badak, has a diverse animal presence, although its orbit is outside Fedak's. In any case, the totally animal-safe planet is now basically one huge, incredibly profitable natural park, nominally owned by the UPS, but actually controlled by ComTec.

      Bar
Although there is no animal life on the planet, the rich variety of plant life makes for some interesting brews. You try a few of them and conclude that this is one planet on which you wouldn't have a problem living permanently.

      Medium, Earth-type planet
      Small outfit shop, no shipyard
      No commodity exchange

(One thing I suggest for this planet is a special junk resource for the local liquor, perhaps sellable on Sirgil or something, and/or a few missions to ship or smuggle some of the liquor elsewhere, perhaps to Banzai planets.)

      -----------------------------------------------------

      Badak

Unlike Fedak, the planet Badak is basically a vast desert, with very little plant life. Instead of plants, the surface is littered with a microbe that rapidly decays practically anything that stands still, and releases noxious (to humans) gases into the air as a result of its metabolism. Some small animals live around these microbe colonies, using the gases to run their metabolism, and some larger animals eat the smaller animals. The food chain continues up the scale, with every animal being eaten by microbes after its death. Although ecologists and exobiologists are fascinated by the organisms here, the microbes make a permanent colony all but impossible. All the human life that exists on the planet is trapped in a small UPS base (raised on antigravity "stilts" to avoid decay) full of scientists that don't mind the terrible weather and hostile carnivorous animals.

      Bar
The bar on this planet is basically a table with pitchers and plastic cups on it, in a room of its own. The only good thing about it is that the drinks are imported from Fedak.

      Small desert planet
      No outfits, shipyard, commodity exchange

      -----------------------------------------------------

Station Badak (you can change the name, but make it just by Badak)

Before the development of reliable antigravity, which now keeps the Badak "colony" hovering over the surface of Badak, this station, equipped with what was then the second-largest telescope in the galaxy, was built by a coalition of scientists to observe the surface. Now, all the determined scientists have left for the surface of Badak, and a few shopkeepers and maintenance people remain, paid by a long-forgotten and permanent UPS research grant (which also grants the UPS official control of the station). You can tell that life is boring, but the once-a-month vacations to Fedak and the omnipresent Fedaki liquor seems to dull the tedium.

      Bar
The bar is by far the most crowded part of the station, and the only area that is maintained properly. The liquor flows freely, but you -- with a spaceship -- prefer Fedak; the drinks here seem a bit stale.

      Station
No outfit shop, shipyard, commodity exchange

Stardrop is the finest achievement of the Tvana-- an artificial world. This world is made entirely of water. Beneath a hundred meters of ice is a thriving aquasphere comprised of water-based life forms from over a dozen worlds. At the core of the planet is a space station with a large array of fusion reactors. The station's reactors supply the light and heat energy needed to sustain the teaming aquasphere. The aquasphere supplies all of the needs of the station, and supplies food and medicine for the surrounding systems.

    • Jisjad Station -- make it almost inside a nebula, but not quite, and pretty far from other civilizations

This distant, mobile UPS research post was originally a haven for astrophysicists seeking to study the marvel that is the Jisjad dual star system, in a neighboring galaxy. On Earth -- about 3 billion light years away from the system -- this star still seems to be an unstable system of two red giants. However, from slightly closer to the system, where the time interval is smaller, the supernova can still be seen taking place. Scientists, taking advantage of the opportunity, created a mobile station, slowly moving towards Earth, from which the supernova was always visible, and the station has since attracted some of the best researchers in the galaxy.

      Bar
The main attraction of this utilitarian bar is a giant, auto-tracking telescope, pointed at the supernova. It is fascinating at first sight, but you are still baffled that these scientists can spend their whole lives here, staring at the distant flare of light.

Regular ol' station, no outfits, shipyard, commodity exchange
