Please someone help! I was tring to make a ship, everything fine until I remember the graphics I went out and got pics2sprites, graphic converter, mechanis-something, and other things. Which programs are good for graphics and how do I work them.

Mechanisto, you mean?
Mechanisto is a fine (and free) program which allows you to make 3D ships. (the kind found in Escape Velocity).
Look on the EVO Add-ons page for "Mechanisto Helper", that should give you a basic idea.
If you need any more help, ask one of the local "Mechanisto Masters" -- Jormungand, Kwanzar, and that guy that runs Carnerveron Station. Please note that Jormungand and Kwanzar are well known for their mood swings and unwillingness to help, so you'll be better off with the third guy. He has a great online shipyard, too.

Umm...you never asked me for help before related to ships... and didn't I compress the music for your plug-in, and didn't I make you some free asteroids, and didn't I make 3 sets of ships for your plug-in project? Wow! What the **** do you want from me bitch!?
NOTE: I always help when it's dealing with using the program. I just don't do custom ships because people like OctoberFost aren't worth dealing with.

Mechanisto makes the ships and renders the movie, read the sutff on how to make ships and be prepared to spend some time to get good results.
pics2sprites I assume makes that movie into a sprite image, and mabe even makes the mask too. I dunno I do it manually. I drive a stick shift too, and am typing this for a typewriter, guess I'm just not a 'cool' as everyone else :).
Graphic Converter can make the sprites and the Masks. Take a look at the thread on how to do that cuz I don't feel like repeating myself.
