After I've built up a fairly big fleet in Level 17, build my Transport and start making my way to the enemy planet. I try to build some more ships to escort me and my Transport. I've got plenty of resources, but the game ignores my build command. I see the "build" interface light up when I hit the right arrow key, but nothing happens.

Then all of the sudden, everything speeds up, as if my finger is sitting on the F6 buttom. It's not. My finger is on my hand covering my gaping mouth.

What's going on here? I've got the 1.1.1 version.

Any hints on how to beat this level. And any idea why my build command is not working after a while?

I have also noticed the building problem you refer to, but not the speeding up (maybe I didn't pay enough attention to that). And it happens in later missions too.

You're reaching the limit of the maximum number of objects which can exist at one time in Ares.

There isn't any indication of this, but there should be. Hopefully the next release of Ares will give you some feedback when you reach the limit.

As for the speed-up problem, it's a bug. I assume it's related to the large number of objects, but I haven't found its cause. I hope to address this as well with the next release.
