Just a quick question. Is the AI player smart enough to use mines if I give any to them?

Forgive my ignorance, but what's "The Dark Beyond"? I don't seem to find it on the Add-ons page, and this is the first time I've ever heard of the anyone successfully getting the AI to use mines. The few plugs I've seen that incorporate AI "mines" (Galactic Scourge and Pale are two examples) don't actually use Guidance Type 5 (Freefall Bomb) for the Mine at all.

I'd be very interested in seeing "The Dark Beyond". Mille Terrae has AI ships with mines, but I've yet to see them put into use after considerable testing.

The Dark Beyond is in beta version. Beta 2, to be exact. In Empire 3, I think, ships use space bombs (EV equivalent of mines).
