Nobody really knows, and I doubt ambrosia will tell us. I think it might add some sort of hook in the system, or EV might have a couple of things in to allow it to work, ambrosia's tools would probably allow such things...

And btw, I know I've seen a page somewhere on how Snapz works - and I specifically remember chuckling at seeing "magic" included. You guys are partly right.

Open up the EV Override application with ResEdit, delete the 'cfrg' resource, save your changes.
Snapz Pro will now be able to invoke inside of EVO, and you can take screenshots and movies.

If you're less ResEdity, you can also just start up Snapz while you're in a dialog box (player info, planet landing, etc) and it'll capture just fine. I, however, am off to delete that resc now...
