      I need serious help!!! I would like to know what editing program work the best. There are too many for me to download and try out for myself so I am asking you to help.

      P.S. I am running on an older macintosh with system OS7.5.5

      The program that is the best is ResEdit. It allows you to do essentially anything with plugs and the game's data files. EV-Edit is decent, but has a tendency to corrupt the files you're working with.

      Other than that, I don't know. Once I got hooked up with ResEdit and EV/O I left it at that.

      I only use a couple, the main one being ResEdit. I would also recommend the EVO Developer's Map by Ponuts and Plug Checker by iXoft (originally DYNA). If you are editing EV plugins then you can get an EV version of the Developer's Map and Plug Checker will check both EV and EVO plugins.
