    • Color Tables to CLUTs (and spöbs)

      Okay, two questions:

First, I'm making the title image for my plug-in, and I need to know how to convert my Photoshop color table to a CLUT resource. I can't believe there's no easy way to do this...

Second, I've changed a lot of the images for planets and such in my plug-in. How do I change it do it knows which ones are planets, which are stations, and which are moons? (ie, so it knows whether to say "you can't land on that planet" or "you can't dock at that station")

Also, can I change the string, "you can't land on that planet, because its environment is too hostile" (or whatever the string is)? I'd like to change it to a more generic term ("you can't land there"), so I could use it for stars, moons, asteroids, and the like, too.

Three, actually. I can answer the final two.

I don't think that's possible. If I'm wrong, please correct me.

You can't do that, either. It will be possible in EVN, however.

Each Spob has a flag that can be activated to let EV/O that the Spob is a station. If it's turned on it displays references to stations; if it's not turned on, the game assumes it's a planet. Those are your only two choices. You can't, for instance, make EV/O display info about the Spob being a moon. Although in the STR for the specific Spob you can classify the object as a moon - (Class N moon) - for example.

      Graphic Converter can do that.
