What do you think of including some movies for EVO (the Rock destruction, etc ) in this CD, which I found a great idea, especially because I can't (even if I have the money) register a downloaded game.

Having nice movies, maybe even full screen movies for important and dramatic events would be very, Very, VERY nice. Especially at the completion of important mission series. If EVN is distributed as a full CD to itself, it will definitly have the space for at least a few.

I think that the idea of movies which have nothing to do with the regular way of playing the game but which just show something 'special' happening has been applied over and over again - from age of empires all the way back to civ2, which is quite old by now
This long, sad history has given me the opinion that a movie which just jumps in there does NOT make as cool as an addition as the people who made it obviously hope... so I vote nays

Maybe I somebody could make a plugin that adds movies to EVO? I might just try that if I get a chance.

I'll make some movies ofr EVO, I've got all the models plus I've got Infini-D, so it shouldn't be too hard. Now, what events do you think I should adapt into movies? I reckon the destruction of the rock is a good one, maybe the voinain dreadnaught blowing up...I dunno, you choose.

Well, sounds like you have good ideas but how would we able to download these movies? It took me recently 2 hour to download an only 30 second movie, but with a huge compression it could be less

**You could, but I don't think they are in generic 3DMF or DXF format....i think they can only be read by Infini-D.

i know... exported to 3dmf... but then it didnt read!! ah well, i tried... i did make another animation, but need a program to compress it (its 246.9 MB)... and make the actual size smaller (its 800x637 i think..)

**Okie, that's gonna be pretty much full-screen for most of the people here. How about scaling it so those of us with normal computers (rather than G4s with big monitors) can watch it in comfort... 640x480 is a more reasonable size... 320x240 is even better

After having played a while to see which events would merit a movie, I have made this list:
-Destruction of the Dreadnough
-Destruction of Verril prime or Kelmaon (so that Voinians won't be angry)
-Destruction of The Rock
-Destruction of outpost Zachit (man, we destroy much in this game!)
-Final mission of each strand
-a major event of Human Renegade missons (I was never able to play them)
-an event of the missions to explore Proxima and Ji nebulae
-an event of the Anna Balashova missions (Maybe, at the end, the inauguration of the first UE Cruiser)
-an event of the Huron missionsThese ideas are sorted: at the up are the ones I'd like to see much, and the last ones you do it only if you want (the others too, but particularly these ones).
