Ralph and Roger continue to impress; they've adapted their "Mission BitMap" utility for use with EV Nova, which is no mean feat, given that EV Nova allows for literally thousands of mission bits. Here's an abstract from the read me:
Quote
Drop one or more Nova Data files, ResEdit rsrc files or Nova plugin files on Mission Bitmap. It opens them in turn and analyses the mission bits found within. Because it opens each in turn if can find multiple occurrences of the same resource in different files.
Neat, eh? Heck, it even found some errors in the EV Nova data files that we weren't aware of!
Quote
**Possible Errors
Faulty bit, extraneous - sign:
!b-424 : mďsn 247 "Ferry WG Rep to <DST>"
Missing b:
34 : mďsn 556 "Sigma Shipyards Delivery"
Is this really a move bit?:
m150 : mďsn 128 "Delivery to Earth"
Erroneous $ sign? should be &??:
b1501 $ !b1502 : mďsn 581 "Un. Shipping Long Delivery"
Missing b:
284 : s˙st 563 "Fer'I'Jus"**
Just the kind of sanity check that will make plugin developer's lives that much easier. For the curious, here's the header from the output from the EV Nova data files:
