I tried emailing Andrew about releasing the script I wrote because there is a simple encryption/decryption method used that I understand he made (it's called SimpleCrypt), but he hasn't responded. As I'm sure he's a busy guy, I'm further assuming that he doesn't care.

This evening I'll compress and upload the script saved just as text. In the final version I had to remove most of my comments because the script was too long to be compiled by AppleScript, so I'll put many of the comments back in. The version I upload will be the newest one I've been playing with: it has only a few changes, but it helps with speed.

I'll post the url here once I've uploaded the script.

In any event, I would think you should upload the file to the Add-On Files area:

That is my end goal, but I was hoping to get some feedback on the editor (like if it works on other people's machines) prior to putting it onto the add-ons site. I just don't want to have a buggy piece of software. So if anyone's used it and has anything to say, how about letting me know. Please?

There are two files: one is completely commented and will not run with ScriptEditor (it's too long. Thanks for the heads up on Smile, Arada Pilot ). The other file is the script I used to make the aplt and appl I have archived at home.

Looking it over, I can already see placed that I could clean up the code. Maybe I'll do so in a future version.

PFE works fine on my iBook SE Graphite 366 Mhz G3 (oops forgot OS: 9.04)
BTW, if this hasnt been osted yet, you can give your script the basic appl icon by changing creator type, and you can make it your own through BNDL's (But you should register your BNDL with Apple)
