I'm helping my brother, Nova6, make a new plug-in called "EV Webboard Governments". Anyway, for the new government that Nova6 is adding he used PICTs he got from (url="http://"http://geocities.com/SiliconValley/Station/6203/sets/raptor/index.html")This(/url) Meowx website. I saw these PICTs, liked them, so then I downloaded (url="http://"http://geocities.com/SiliconValley/Station/6203/sets/hook/index.html")These(/url) PICTs. Both my and Nova6 used the dreadnaught PICTs, whose sizes are about 200 by 188. However, after I finished by governments ships, I opened up EV to try them out. However, when it was loading, the loading bar just stopped at the 3/4 mark. The music continued, but it never finished loading. I also couldn't force quit it. Know what's wrong? Is it the PICTs? Is there anything Nova6 and I can do except to just get rid of the big PICTs? Thanks in advance. Please reply as soon as possible.

You should probably increase the memory needed for EVO (click on the EVO icon, press command-I (I as in "eye", not 1 as in "one") and then go down to "memory" (if you have MacOS 9) and increase the memory. I worked for me when I downloaded MAGMA (just not w/Ship Lightener, don;t know why.)

P.S. Meowx is awesome! They've done some graphics for me and they ROCK!! Remember the graphics is sent you for the EVO Webboard Govts? Those ships were from Meowx, too.

Tried that. Didn't work. I'll try increasing its memory more.

As for the intro screen, I have a bit of a problem. I took a bunch of screenshots, however, by that time the registration time for SnapzPro had run out, so it messed up all the screenshots. I'll have to register before I can continue. I should have it ready soon. When are you planning to publish your plug-in?

Sounds like you've got the wrong sizes typed into the spďn resource. Or you've got other plugs in the folder. Or you're using EV-Edit.

I'm planning on releasing it sometime Jamuary-February 2001. I've already re-started it (I originally was using EV-Edit, got the first "part" done and then when I added some uninhabited systems it fialed so I chucked the whole thing :frown: ) I'm in college and finals are coming up, so I'll get to work on the plug this Christmas break.

I took out the dreadnaught PICTs yesterday and replaced them with carrier PICTs, and it works fine. Geuss it was the dreadnaught PICTs which were messing it up.

As for what Meowx Design said: No. I'm pretty sure I got the right PICT and spin size, I don't have any other plugs in, however I am using EV-Edit. I can't use resorcorer to make large plugs like that. Too complicated for me. I don't understand how to get the spin resorces right. Got any other suggestions?
