Here's the scoop:
I would like my own domain name (e.g.- (url="http://"http://www.nameofsite.com")www.nameofsite.com(/url) ) for an EVO web site I'm in the process of creating. I know you can buy a domain name for around $70, but I don't want to have to pay the monthly fees for hosting my site with its own URL. I've heard you can use URL forwarding, which means when I type in my purchased domain name at "www.nameofsite.com", it automatically forwards you web browser to the actual site at "users.aol.com/~name/index.html" or something. (A good example of this is when you type in "www.mac.com" - go ahead, do it - the URL points your browser to "www.apple.com" !) The advantage of this is that you don't have to pay the monthly fees for hosting you site (your site can be on any server - geocities, aol, etc.), just the one-time payment for the domain name. My question is, how do you do it?!
