      Would it be because it can't be done? Coldstone doesn't support allies fighting for you. Well, it does if you are creating a turn-based game, but since PoG is not a turn based game and this is the PoG webboard, I assume that that will not be considered.

      An idea is simply that: an idea. Giving credit to an idea is, while nice, not in any way necessary.

      Why? Because how do you know that he hadn't come up with the same, or similar, idea by himself?

      Besides which it is one thing to say, "Hey, I have an idea. How about a fireball spell?" And another thing to actually figure out how, codewise, it would work and then make it work.

      Intellectual property is much more than, "I could make this... hey, I just thought of an idea so now no one else can use it! It is all mine!" That's just bogus.

      Now, if you sat down, figured out everything on how something will work, and then shared it with a developer who wished to use it, then you might have a case. But in a thread where the developer is asking for ideas to use in his own plug-in, you are simply brainstorming. The ideas you come up with he will then need to deconstruct and build himself. Credit is unnecessary unless he chooses to be gracious.

      To use an example, when I was creating Spells Expander I was talking with many people. Some I received tangible products from, like straytoaster who came up with the concept of the timer code and I altered and tweaked to fit my needs. I used code that he had developed so regardless of how much I altered and changed his code I still needed to credit him.

      However there were people that gave me ideas for spells, quest ideas, etc. These needed not be credited, and weren't, because I still had to flesh them out myself. Many of them I had already come up with but was letting them simmer in my mind as I worked out how they would work.

      If you are really interested in keeping an idea soley in your possession, the best way to do that is to not share it. Otherwise share your ideas and be happy that they are included when a new game is released. You know you had input on it; more credit than that, for a simple idea, is not needed.

    • OK. Can you see it ths would work?
      Have a spell effect 'Caster' and create an Earth Elemental (Enemy) two squares away. Have the Elemental set to 'Wander round original position but don't give it an attack, just a spell. That spell efects 'Allies' at range 0-1. He casts that defensively. It does damage to the 'Allies'. Instant ally. Set his battle instructions to 'Defensive Caster'. Have his death action display a dialog that says 'You dispel the Elemental and fell some of the magic return to you', or something.

      The problem with this is 3 fold:

      1. The NPCs will not attack your ally.
      2. Your ally's spell will affect it; ie, every time it casts its spell it will take damage
      3. You can attack, and kill, your ally.

    • There's a better way:
      Create a spell that targets all enemies , and heals them.
      Then add this spell to your "Allies" spellbook.
      Now he will heal you, but can't be be killed, except if you kill him, so either make him have low MP or low healing rate.

      P.S You can make it attack player, when he has run out of MP.

    • Hey KJK, I got a question about your Plugins. I downloaded your Super Goblin plug-in windows computer, but it seems to not do anything except make a goblin that is stuck in the middle of a small clump of trees that you cannot reach by any spell or bow. Do i have to have the More Goblins plug-in for this one to work? I'm using a Windows computer.

      SlaVitiCkus, you, since you are the major cheat plug-in creator, should make a cheat that gives experience. I think that you could give someone a level up cheat if they press some button, because in the Saphirre(sp) at the end you could get a level up.

      It SHOULD add a super strong goblin somewhere in the map(I don't remember where, it was either near the campfire or random spot in the map), so I guess there's a small hole in the trees, where the engine adds the super goblin.

      DON'T USE MORE GOBLINS WITH SUPER GOBLIN, OR THE GAME MIGHT CRASH (Those chest are in same coordinates)!!!

      I am going to put this out, before when i have used Coldstone, i have made a bow icon, that was only useable by the conjuror and shot nuns, it was not a cheat, but i never published it, so i am saying that, yes it is possible to make a bow for conjuror.

      RANGER:
      Book of the dragon: Tells you how to make a dragon transformation potion.
      Book of the cvae spider: Tells you how to make a cave spider transformation potion.
      Book of the wasp: Tells you how to make a wasp transformation potion.
      Dragon Potion: Turns you into a dragon for a certain amount of time.
      Cave Spider potion: turns you into a cave spider for a certain amount of time. (Big brother of the speedy mole spider potion.)
      Wasp potion: Turns you into a speedy wasy for a certain amount of time.
      Bow of fire: A mystic bow that fires firey arrows. (20-50 damge per shot)

      CONJURER:
      Time Shock: Looks like the sanctuary but cover whole map in the sanctuary bubble freezeing everything but you (If you come into contack be either atacking or touching the oponent they unfreeze)
      Regen: Regenerates 2 healther ever few seconds (works for a certain amount of time or untill all monsters around you are defeated)
      Time Blast: Speeds player up slows emimes and npcs down (Giveing the effect of acelarated time.)
      D-Blow: (from Cythera) Causes player to hit maximum damage once per spell cast.
      Far sight: Lets the player see the map in a straight line (Like the crystal ball from Cythers)

      SWORDS MEN:
      Tin Foil Helm: (jokeish helmet) A tin foil helm that give +5 mind protection.(could be worked into an easter egg)
      Ragnarok: A mighty sword maid by the acienblack smiths of the past world. (Must have pretty good stats to weild, 2 handed, gives +5 to luck +5 defence +2 vitality. 20-45 damage)
      Hammer of Thor: A powerful hammer from the heavens that smites enimies straight to Hades. (Cant think of stat bonuses for it. 15-35 damage)
      Boots of Ferrtet: (goes with dagger of ferret) Boots worn by the man named Ferret (gives +1 speed +1 luck)
      Syth of grim: The used by the Grim Reaper him self. (damage unknown (about as much as the elven bow of destruction), -5 stamina, +3 strength)

      MISC:
      New gate stones: Gate stones that dont require you to have been there first sold at the potion shop in fantrima.
      Potion of conjurers: Heals magic and stamina.
      MAX potion: Restores your stamina to full.
      Mind Bomb: Gives the player +10 mind protection for a certain amount of time.

      I hope this was to the point and helpful GOOD LUCK with this plug-in it sounds great!

    • I realize I am entering this thread very late, however, I had an idea geared towards the original intent of this topic. Why not try to make a spell that would allow the user to set a coordinate to which they could return.

      For example: A player enters a deep dungeon that happens to be very difficult. They cast this particular spell at the entrance (because they have already failed in the dungeon a number of times and fear saving in the dungeon risking being forever trapped). This allows them to complete the dungeon mission and at the press of a button, return to that original set coordinate at the entrance rather than backtracking and fighting every foul beast they encounter on the way out.

      I suppose there are plenty of ways around this problem as well such as levelling up etc... But there are also other bountiful creative uses to which this spell could be applied.

      This has already been done in Stark Bledfast's Spells Expander. The spell is "Recall," if I recall correctly. Actually it involves two spells. The first is "Mark" in which you record the spot to which you wish to return. Here the memory is a little fuzzy, but I believe you could mark up to three spots you would like to get back to, and "Recall" allowed you to chose which spot you wanted to select.
