    • Pre-Disabled Ships


      Many missions in EV/EVO make you recover something from a disabled ship. I can't get this to work in my EV plug-in. The Derilects are supposed to "start disabled", but when I make one of them in the target ship in my plug, it comes out at 100% shields! What's happening?

      The derelicts govt is used for special ships who trigger missions (ie certain pers resources), not for special ships in missions. You can use any dude resource as special ship as long as you set the ShipGoal field to 5 (rescue) in the mission data.

      PS: It's been a while since I created any missions, so this info may not be 100% accurate. Use the bible to make sure.

      I think you've already forgotten that the bible's info isn't garunteed to be 100% accurate. 🙂

      Oh, I didn't notice. I don't understand why it wouldn't work then - but you could make the plug for EVO and then wait for 1.0.2.

      For a similar mission in my plug-in-progress, I have Player's 'Objective' set at 'Rescue' while setting the 'Behavior' of the ship-to-be-boarded at 'None.' Is this what you've done? These settings seem to work for me.

    • I decided that getting something from a disabled ship would not fit this particular mission (you have to rescue a defector from the confeds, who are taking him to earth for execution). I was going to have the defector kill the ship's crew and disable the ship, but that didn't make any sense. So I'm making the player have to disable a frigate (while fending off a small fleet of Confederate Crusiers) and rescue the defector from that. Thanks for your help anywho, as I am going to have several of these missions in my next plug.
