    • How does my Lazira look? Though of course, you are a master of ship piloting (hence the shuttlecraft of doom).

BTW how do you equip your shuttle per game?

    • I'd lose the missiles and Emalgha Cannon, instead going for full Phase Turrets and extra defensive upgrades. If you have enough space left over, I suggest adding Miranu Defense modules for bombing runs. They're excellent at that. Just fly over a ship at top speed, drop them while on top of them, instant damage to them and anyone else around with no harm to you. If you can do it right, even Voinians will fall to your might.

    • I used the Lazira a lot on my first few plays through Override. It is well-balanced. Outfit it however you like, that’s the whole reason behind having outfits available. If you like missiles, as it appears you do, then your load-out looks reasonable, although restocking your ammunition will necessitate a trip back to human space if you aren’t already there. You seem to have gone for a balance between defense and offense, shield damage and armor damage.

…wait until you finish Paaren Station…

    • Enjoy EVO! EVO is by far my favorite in the series. The game balance is masterfully done, but its best part is the exploration. I know that in Nova you can get drafted into a story you don't particularly want (cough Vell-os cough) but in Override, they're all pretty equal and I think "letting it flow" is the best way the first run through. Unlike Nova, there are multiple major storylines you can do with one pilot, so there's only so much room for getting a non-preferential story.

That said, if you see one group of folks and like the looks of their ships, you can always try blowing up their enemies to try to get in their good graces. I'm pretty sure that's only necessary for two of the major strings, though.

I once put MANY plug ins in a run of Nova, that was an odd sort of game...

Heh. That's really what makes the EV series so great. I did that when I came back to Nova after a 4 year hiatus, great fun. Everything's new and exciting again!

I do like the HK missilies but I see your point, I just wanted to add some more OOMPH against Voinians.

I recently completed the station and am building up my combat ranking right now fighting voinians, I will probably switch armaments when I move into a new region.

Yeah, I did not like the forced storyline "drafting" of EVN, but also wandering around in UE space with no idea on what to do is pretty bad as well. But I still had/am having fun with both.

Any tips on raising Miranu legal rating? I have troubles wiping out the renegades up there, so fast and deadly...

Edit: (Oh I love how fun the plug ins are, but when you pile on too many or mess up with TCs, the end results are REALLY weird)

    • Things I will tell you once you’ve completed the game:

How to gain legal status quickly and easily with all possible governments.
How to make money quickly with a new pilot.
How to join more than one side of several storylines.
How to obtain the best ship in the game for yourself.
How to obtain the best escorts in the game.
How to obtain the best ship and best escorts and still get all but one of the best outfits.
How to obtain the ship with the highest possible trade-in value.
How to obtain the worst possible ship (actually kind of hilarious as escorts.)
How to start that one storyline that many people don’t find on their own but is one of my favorites.

Things I will not tell you:

      What is in the nebulæ.
Why there are asteroid belts spanning many star systems.
      What the Council does next.

Until then, try things out and enjoy the game for what it is.

    • What is in the nebulæ.

      Cheese?

Why there are asteroid belts spanning many star systems.

Never really wondered about that....Seems to be a feature of EV games

      What the Council does next.

Didn't the head guy of EVO answer this?
