    • There is no Windows version of EVO.

You can play it only if you get the registered version ov EV Nova and put the EVN to EVO (something like that..) plugin on.

    • For $30 you can play the full versions of all three games on any platform.
In the EVN addons/essentials section there are total conversion plugins that bring the original games to the EVN engine.

Another solution is to find a Mac emulator, anything below system 10, and you could run it through that to test it out. If you wanted the full game afterwards, I would recommend the above option.

      His name is knowsnothingofcomputers.

    • and ain't it true, that name 🙂 sad tho it may be.
some slightly more detailed explanation, anyone? as the name implies, i got lost around the words 'you can get a mac emulator..'

    • An emulator allows you to run a Mac Operating System (like X) on Windows. You will still need to purchase the Mac OS, I believe. Try doing a search on these Ambrosia forums for "emulator". The Search button is up at the top of this page, right above "My Controls". Here are two links I found... hope they explain things better.

Also, what Insomniac said is the best way to go. Spend the $30 on Nova, then you can play all three EV games.

WarBeast's comprehensive and excellent guide to making EV and EVO work on the Basilisk2 Mac emulator. Includes all the files you need and is generally wonderful.

    • Augh. He just wants to play the Override scenario, not run a Mac emulator.

      1. Download, and then register EV Nova here. (Unless you already have registered EV Nova)

      2. Download this file. It will let you play EV Override inside EV Nova. The included ReadMe will tell you how to do this.

Does it actually work now? Last time I tried that, the Dreadnaught missions would crash the game, the Emalgha and Miranu missions just stopped, and I think there was something wrong with the renged ones as well. I don't think I got around to testing the Crecent, but at that rate....

There have been several fixes to the original release, but I can't say whether the whole scenario is bug free, as I haven't played it extensively.

      Woot.

      downloads

    • Whoa now, there's only one solution to EVO on Nova - download my version instead :D. Seriously, I've fixed so many bugs it isn't funny. For discussion/bug reports go here. I'm looking for people to do some thorough testing of it so if you're feeling up to it then let me know.
