Try trading between two planets in the same system in independant space NW of the proxima nebula
And the so called "Himgro-Mumb Run" in miranu space is also profitable (although not a lucritive).

Peter Cartwright designed a cool little web of commodities.. they're interesting to discover for yourself. But one that is profitable as hell is the medical runs. It's hard to find a place with low even remotely close to where it is high (or higher ^__^) but you can buy it at medium anywhere in UE space and sell it at New Calcutta for high or higher. Lots of cash quick, if you do it right. (keeping in mind escorts with high cargo capacity are expensive as hell)

Buy tourists at Earth and deliver them to New Rome... Return with food to lower your costs on the return trip... If you use Miranu Heavy Freighters (6) there is a profit turn around of 1M.

Insanity has its advantages
That sounds like a good trade route... ill try it. Though there is better runs, like Bombs one.

Heh. I always wished that you could buy tourists low on Earth and sell them high on New Rome... or even higher on one of the Voinian slave planets.

The words "Miser's Run" come to mind as the best route, but that's all I remember of it.....it's been too long. No time to search, sorry.

The Misers Run is in Hatuli system, where you go between Thehir and Gribn.

My favorite trade route I found was Crassworms from Pax to Omm, then Medical Supplies from there to Telnan (sometimes medical suppies are higher there!), then equipment from there to Pax. (The last one is buying medium, but oh well). If there's a monk's strike you can just buy equipment on Huron for Pax.

here are some trade routes that I found are good.
1-buy fertelizer from atlantic station and sell it on first centari. buy food from first centari and sell it on earth. buy metel from earth and sell it on atlantic station. repeat the proccess.
2-buy medical supplies from the zidgar home world. sell them at twyuss. buy metal and twyuss and sell it at the zidgar home world.
this last one is really just an idea of how to do the misers run.
buy a turncoat and use it to capture six TRADER freighters. they must be traders because nobody cares when you board or kill traders. then use the turncoat to protect the freighters while doing the misers run.
you could probobly do this better with a crescent ship or destroyer but these are harder to get and cost more.

An Arada is both better and cheaper than a Turncoat for this strategy.

it would be better, but like I said it is harder to get because it is availible farther away. and it won't capture freighters which is requiered because captured escorts are free.
of course the turncoat is expensive and slow and it is dangerous to land on the places it is availible. but in my opinian it is the best ship for the job.
besides, the turncoat is one of my favorite ships.

I just thought of something. just be a renegade. capture some freighters in a big ship (turncoat :D) and then swipe medical supplies from your helples victims. sell them on New Calcutta or thehir for a ton of money.
remember, trader freighters are the key.
