1. I have done the defend emgalia missoin,,, but im not getting the escort mission
2. why wount it let me finish that space station constuction thing... They said it was almost done and i dont have any missions for it anymore.
3. IS THERE A SUCH THING AS A GOOD SHIP IN THS GAME... im in a blue heliur(sp)... and i cant find anything better. yet i keep getting killed

It looks like you've gotten some advice on the missions over on the EVN board. To generalize something someone told you over there: if you want to get missions from a planet, sometimes you need to get on the planet's government's good side by destroying their enemies in neighboring systems.
In my opinion the Arada is a great ship to fly before you get access to military ships, especially if you use it against human renegades. Swivel phase cannons really improve the deadliness of any small, fast ship. If you haven't seen these things, explore NE a few systems from the Emalghia area.

I can answer 2 and 3 since I dont remember the first. After the first Paaren Station missions which you get in a bar, the missions appear in Mission Computer 25% of the time. They are extremely hard to find, so not getting any more missions is common confusion. For a good ship, both Lazira and Crescent warship are good. Lazira combines power with speed, and Crescent Warship is just powerful, being one of the most powerful ships in the game.

You have done the first Emalgha mission. You get the next one on the red moon when you have enough legal status and combat rating. To get legal status and combat rating increased, go to the Emalgha system, and kill some Voinian figates and cruisers.
Once you have done 4 cargo runs to Paaren Station you get the final mission on any UE planet in the bar. It will not always be there, so just jump around checking bars untill you get it. This mission will also require a certain combat rating(i dont know what however, because i dont go diggin through the data files).
The Helian in my opinion is far from being worthy of being called a ship. You'd be better off with a scoutship or even a cargo transporter. At least those can out-run a slug 
You ought to try bribing the renegades to let you land on their planets once you have about 1.2M. Another place to find a relatively good ship would be the Thoso system.
