I'd like to know what kind of ships you are using when you do zachit missions, or what ships you like to use as a Zachit; you may justify, you may not, it's up to you.

Hmm...I'd use either a Crescent Warship, complete with fighters, SAD's, and turrets, or a Miranu Gunship with SAE's, Turrets, and some dispy. rockets. For the Zachit missions I used a Crescent Warship, and on my other pilot file I'm using a Miranu Gunship for them.

My Zachit ship is usually a heavily modified Lazira, one of my favorite ships. I go with the max number of Phase Turrets, Some Dispersal Rockets, and the rest of the space for Shield Enhancers and a Generator. Oh, and a good layer of Dospect Armor.

Why, I used my A.E.S. Firebird! (That's my Arada)

I posted a good story about my experiences with the Zachit in Moments of Pride and Accomplishment. Read if you like.

I suggest using....uhhh, I guess a pumped up Arada, I can't really reccomend much of anything that I can fully stand by.

I use whatever ship I happen to be in when I get the mission. Primarily, it's been my trusty Freight-courier or more recently my UE Cruiser, both decked out with blaze turrets. I also like to dump my secondary weapons in favor of fighters. The FC had crescents and the cruiser has crescent and UE, for a total of eight.

Occasionally when I'm feeling particularly devious/bored I'll disable a Zachit Arada, capture it, and use that as my Zachit ship. The Miranu aren't exactly thrilled when I do it, but they forget quickly once they see all the Renegades I shoot down.

Well, I used a Voinian Crusier (again read about it in the first page of Moments of Pride and Accomplishments) because I'm chicken ;). You need something with a lot of armor to do the last Miranu Gunship mission, trust me.

I have never done the Zachit missions, do you need a ship with cargo space?

The Zachit missions do not require cargo space.

Uh... I used an Iggy. blush I know... overkill. I find it works very well as a fast battlecruiser, once its engines have been upgraded. There's no need to use anything quite that monstrous, though. I only did it because I'd already got my pilot through the Strand War before I had any dealings with the Zacha.

Of course, for the last Zachit mission, one does need quite a bit of armor, so I took a captured (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~dsghosh/evosite/shipyard2.html#vcruiser")Voinian Cruiser(/url) for the purpose. (It took ages to capture that thing!)

Well the Zachit mission string is usually the last important one that I come to, so I'm usually in a big ship fully upgraded - which is probably why I can't visualise the Attack the Rock mission battle, or why it is harder than the others :).

After the missions I have bought the Miranu Gunship on a few occasions, but it really does come far too late in the game to be of real use - and there is a bit of a lack of mid-price range ships really.

I'm with Esponer on this one. Most of the time when I fly with the Zachit, I do it in a Crescent Fighter. But sometimes I'll fly a UE Fighter for it. I like being on equal footing with the other Zachit.

Well, I use a crescent warship most of the time, but heavily accelerated. I tried an Igazra, but it's too slow. And, if you have pain making the last zachit mission, hire 6 CW or Laziras at Mira, and return at the Rock. It should help (for the money, make Tehir-Gribn run, dominated if possible, with 6 Human Freighters).
