    • Weird EV Override graphics....

I really do think that some of the graphics on EV Override are really strange. Did Matt Burch and them go wild???.The graphics look like some lunatic made them!

When I say graphics I mean the sprites not the titles ect....

I just think EV is sooooooo much more of a classic good game than EVO and EVN.

      ------------------

    • Which graphics exactly are you talking about? None look all that weird to me.

Visit my EVO web site at (url="http://"http://www.andrew.cmu.edu/~dsghosh/evosite")http://www.evoverride.com(/url)! (Note: this URL is temporarily not working. The link works, but typing in (url="http://"http://www.evoverride.com")http://www.evoverride.com(/url) will take you to one of those evil search pages. I will fix this ASAP.)

    • The Kestrel ships and also the transporters. Why does nearly every ship have those solar panels are them?!?!?!?! They just look stupid.

I think its the Hawks an Lightnings but they are purple....Well some ship is anyway.

    • :falls down to the floor: There are EV! Gentlemen, let move this topic!
Oh never mind. I get what you are talking about. From EV to EVO.

    • Please! EV:O is more of an entirely different game that EV:Classic than a sequel. It was based on the same concept true, but I believe the ambrosia staff made the game for Matt Burchrather than he for them...

Nope. Matt Burch made the game (EV) and ASW released it commercially..

Peter Cartwright designed the scenario for EVO, Matt Burch improved on his engine a bit. ASW then released it commercially, handling distribution, sales, advertisement, etc.

I think that you don't see many love stories in EV simply because the engine isn't quite geared towards that. What are you going to do, keep meeting your significant other in a bar (or, with Nova, the Outfitter, Shipyard, or Trade Center) and have questions like "Will you go out on a date with me?" | Yes/No | "Great, pick me up on <DST> in a month and we'll have dinner."?

It's really a matter of opinion, this issue. I can see how you think the graphics are weird, and I agree that the EV graphics are better, but I think the EVO graphics were just an attempt to improve on the rather simple EV graphics (if you look carefully, they really consist of very few objects).

There are some good aspects to the graphics -- I mean, the solar panels try to put some realism into the game...and they are more colorful than the EV ones...

I suppose if you think they're crazy-looking, they kind of are, and there are many who would agree with you...

    • Yes I have noticed that. All the ships are made up of cubes and the most simply objects in the 3-D world. But EV Nova makes a change of this......

In EVO? No. They use more complex shapes which is apparent if you actually look at the ships for a second. If you have Infini-D, you can download the ship model and play with them too. Even the EV ships arent made from cubes and completely simple objects. Ok, they arent as complex and detailed as people are doing nowadays, but they arent quite as simple as you make out.

    • I was talking about EV then NOT EVO. I know the EVO graphics are more complex and the EV Nova graphics.......I dont have to explain!
