Just to set things straight, as a mercenary I haven't taken sides in either the Voinian or Strand Wars yet, but I have fought against the renegades.

Another point:

When this webstory begins, I will be starting a new thread for OOC (out of character) posts. For those of you new to webstories, OOC threads are for all posts in which you are not posting directly about your plot.

For example: You believe another player has posted an unreasonable research time for a project of his. You would post your opinion here, and not in the IC (in character) thread, thus maintaining no clutter in the webstory. Or perhaps you are angry that another player controlled your ships in a battle. (which is forbidden...more on this when I post rules when this starts :D)

You could combine the Zacht and Miranu because they are basically one in the same
3. You could combine the Emalgha and UE to create an singal force against the
voinians (both nations would have different tech research) 4. We could try and gag
Cresent and throw him in front of a moving Eurovan until he consents to play a race.

Just a brainstorm so take my sudjestions as you will.

Those, indeed, are good ideas. I want to see the UE and Igadzra filled, because we could—in the worst case scenario (not really, but hey :D)—make all the renegades NPC.

I'll be UE. If you don't find anyone to control the Strand Renegades, I'll also control them. I don't like the idea of a Kayan government.. It's so... 'last year'. What's the deal with the Kayans? they have one planet.. No one ever comes up with a Thehir-Gribn-onian government. Or that lonely guy in voinian space, how come he doesn't get his own government?

You can always be co-mod...i realize that most of these writers are... um.. (thinks of a nice way to say it..).. new to writing... Two mod positions is a grand idea. Perhaps a battle moderator and a technology/diplomacy moderator?

I had originally planned to play as Iothe—the option is still possible, but that was only my choice because we had thought about cutting out the Crescent at that point. When the Crescent was added back in, I went for the Kayans. If it's that big a deal to you, maybe I will return to Iothe—but I really don't want to. I don't care if it appears I am copying Esponer at any time during the plot; let him take it as flattery if that's what happens.

Experience is a poor replacement for empathy, and this other chap seems to have an essence of arrogance about him. I say you lot have him hung drawn and quartered, or whatever it is that you science fiction folks do to people who have a problem with manners. By the by, I might be interested in writing in this here story, depending on a few factors, not least of them being whether there are any posts left that wouldn't just be cannon fodder against any strategists out there (t'other hand, these boards are mostly frequented by Americans, and American strategists is pretty oxymoronic) controlling militarities which out-everything my own, and whether Solel and this other fellow, if you don't have him appropriately hung drawn and quartered or otherwise phased out of existence by some death ray you lot have invented, introduce any laws of the story which would make it little more than a rigged wargame. I'm not sure my ego could stand the formidable blow of having to continuously ask questions about the laws of this story left right and wherever my ignorance sends me stumbling blindly, so I'll see if I can get in contact with a few of you who sound like you know how this is supposed to work, and discreetly politely interrogate them about this all.

First I'll ignore your crack about American strategists, (with Bush in charge we don't exactly have the best side open to public view) then I will discuss a position in this webstory for you. Free pilots tend not to have to deal with the wargame parts but can concentrate more on plot development this would be what Crescent is doing if you want to find out more about it talk to her. However considering we need several positions filled I would likely be given my last cigar if I did not recommend you take a more major position. So I urge the pacifist government the Miranu. Since the Zachit position is full (I believe) and the Miranu have no enemys you could delve into politics or plot development. As for rules I don't believe any have been posted so you can help in development without a blow to your pride.
