I appologise to anyone who thought what I said was offensive. I meant it not to sound pompous and arrogant, and if that is the way it came out, I appologise. My intent was merely remembering the last time I was on this board and to suggest a manuver which had not been suggested. My wording may have been poor in the way I posted. Anyway, here is what my intent was to say:
To defeat ships, a common tactic that I used when I played EVO was to move in a direction having them follow you. You go slow enough so that they will appear on your screen, and then you match their speed, let inertia continue to carry you in a direction, and fire backwards at the enemy ship. This was called the Monty Python Manuver.
Not to sound pompus or arrogant, but I personally do not think that if you finish enough missions to access the Zigadar Phase Beam, you will not have the Helian ship because by that time, you will have enough money to buy a better ship. Along with the new ship you buy, I would not reccomend purchasing the Phase Beam, for although it can be good in certain situations, I find that space is usually put to much better use with ship improvements/turrets. That is strickly my opinion, and my suggestion to a newbie of the game. I appologise to Forge, Pooty, and any other people who took offense to my previous post, as it apparently was not constructed in a manner that conveyed the meaning that I intended.
Thanks all. Oh, and look for a new plug-in for voinions/UE/anyone else I decide to include in it to come out sometime by the summer. Although I will not be expanding on the number of ships and weapons, look for a lot more missions to develop plots.
