Yeah that's right, my last post was like a year ago. I tend to spread out my EVO playing.

The other day, i came across an interestingly named fed. ship. I had already initiated hyperspace, so all i could do was glance at the sensor readout on it until i was gone, but i swear it was the UES Tarantoga. Don't remember if it was a carrier or cruiser. I've googled on "Tarantoga" and all i can seem to turn up is what i know it as - an extensively used character in Stanislaw Lem's novels. Furthermore, a full search of all ambrosia webboards for "tarantoga" turns up zilch.

So, who at ATMOS is the Stanislaw Lem fan?

P.S. is it just me, or do the interesting ships always jump in only after you've begun to jump out?

The closest possibilities were found in Escape Velocity, with the U.S.S. Saratoga and U.S.S. Ticonderoga. The closest to "U.E.S Tarantoga" in EV Override 1.0.2 would be the U.E.S. Tangier, U.E.S. Tsientsin, or U.E.S. Telnan.

Well that pretty much is that.

Not only did i goof up the ATMOS thing, i imagined a completely make-believe federation ship. I'll attribute the former to ignorance and the latter to glancing at my sensor display way too quickly after reading too much Lem.

P.S. yes, it was EVO, and no, i've not yet gotten around to trying any plugs. What with the spreading out of play and all.
