I've been away from PoG for a while and have reloaded it. I'm having a problem that I can't figure out where it's coming from. When the screen opens saying I have moved to a new level, it stays there. You can't click it off and if you hit any key it increases the levels, etc. I end out having to force quit the game. I have some add-ons, is one of them causing this? Someone, please help.

I think one of your plugins is doing this. It takes you up to level 32 or something like that. The plugin was made by someone who does not understand how the game works. A level 32 player who has not built up experience and other stats is a sitting duck when faced with anything much stronger than a goblin.

Hi: I'm running on OS 9.2. Re loaded PoG and now, even though I have the plug in for the extra guy, he won't load and if I hit "G" nothing happens. Do you have any idea which one of these plug ins is causing havoc? I junked Banker and it seems to stop it somewhat.

I don't think I could ever make that one work. Bankers, however, is fine.
You didn't ask, but here is my list of recommended plugins. All the storyline plugins are included (marked with {S}) and the "cheat" plugins - if you must have them - are marked with {C}. In alphabetical order:
Bankers Guild {C} - increases your money which you've kept on deposit at each level-up.
Damsels in Distress {S} - I kinda like this one, I know the guy who wrote it. 
Dernath Merchant - adds a shop and Inn to that out-of-the-way spot.
Regenify {C} - slowly restores your health and magic points (1 pt. every 10 sec.)
Sapphire {S} - The first quest-oriented plugin. A cute story.
Spells Expander {S} - mostly for conjurers, must have Trinity active. Excellent story.
The Mushroom Lady - mostly for rangers, she sells some good stuff.
Trinity {S} - adds 3 classes each with unique items and locations.
World of CHa0s {S} - an extention to Spells Expander but by a different author. Must have Trinity and Spells Expander active. Must have completed Spells Expander.
The other plugins do not get the "RD Seal of Approval." Some are okay (like Gold), but I just don't see filling my pockets at the punch of a key. Takes the challenge out of the game.

I'm looking forward to Damsels. If I read it right, it activates after the bridge is complete. I've been away for so long, I've forgotten alot. I've used Sapphire before, is kinda cute. Thanks much for the list. No, I normally don't use the "C"s and I really don't see much use for the Banker. But it seems to be clearing up since I rid of Banker. Who knows.... I like form changes, i.e. giant, etc. but it trying it, I found when y ou go back to your natural form, you lose stats like strength, etc.

Actually, you could start Damsels from the beginning, but you will meet a man in Fantrima who suggests that you walk the road to Berglum, and you can't get there until the workmen have finished the bridge. Once you put the plugin in your folder, go to Fantrima and look for Harold.

For some reason I've never gotten the Dernath Merchant plug to work. I have OS 9.2 if that helps.

So do I have OS 9.2. You won't find a "Shop" but rather a young woman walking near the tower in the NW part of town. She will offer you a room or sell you supplies (or buy your inventory items at a good price like in Gwiden Camp or Fungus' Getaway) but she doesn't seem to have a house. A little odd, perhaps, but that's how LifeKnight wanted it.

Thank you. I will look for him. When I first played this a few yrs back, I played a total of four times (all without little cheats) One each for each character and then again when Sapphire came out. I was really surprised that I remembered locations when I started up again. The only one that always, always took me forever to find (and I have to laugh because still does) is finding that little thief with the book! Does that beat all or what. I haven't been to Dernth yet. I also loaded the goblins (?) and found a new cave just outside of Fantrima. I truly am glad new things are being created for this terrific game!

The new cave east of Fantrima is part of Damsels and plays a part in that story. The Goblins plugin just adds a bunch to the forest west of Fantrima. One thing I've noticed is that when several plugins are active at the same time, it's often hard to know what belongs with which plugin.

ACtually she lives in the tower by the wall. There just wasn't room to put another stamp on the map.
