What a great plugin! Kudos to all those who worked on it...

I am currently playing as a ranger and am at level 24. I am wondering about the book of alchemy in my inventory. I have not been able to use it...yet. I don't know if it serves any purpose in the game or not but I thought I would check.

Since I am writing anyway, I also wanted to ask about the World of Chaos plugin. Does it involve anything more than interaction with Fayleese? I have completed all tasks that he asked me to perform and I assume that there is nothing more to the plugin.

I was also wondering about something I read here on the boards somewhere. It is about Spells Expander. Someone wrote that Spells Expander adds small quests for both the ranger and the swordsman, but that almost all of it is for the conjuror. I don't want to miss out on anything for my ranger and wanted to make sure I had explored everything. If anyone has any ideas of stuff I could have missed it would be greatly appreciated.

One other question...Can someone from another guild access another guild's special place...ie can a ranger gain entry to the swordsman's guild or the Mage's tower? I figure it is not possible, since I have tried and been denied entry but if there is a way.....

The book in inventory serves as a place holder tor the recipe book which you access with the "V" key. You just can't do anything with it from your inventory list.

If you have done all that Fayleese asked of you and recieved your gift from him, then that's all there is for a Ranger. Have they erected a statue in your honor?

The small quest for the Ranger is clear out the well. If you were able to start WoC then you did everything available in SE because WoC won't start until all the quests for SE are over.

The answer is, "Generally speaking, no." However, one class can access another's area by deceit, trickery, and cunning in a particular quest available in Spells Expander. You may take a good guess as to which class is able to do that.

Thanks for the answer...I have done everything there is to do in SE for the ranger. I am now going to start as a conjuror....assuming I can actually kill a goblin or two without dying first...I'm having trouble with that one right now.

Go south first and collect all the gold you can from the areas without hostile creatures. You should be able to get about 200 gold pieces. Now buy some armor and a better weapon before you meet the first goblin. Piece o' cake!

The Magical Arrows saved my life several times when fighting the goblins.

If the goblins are too tough, disable DiD for a while. A bug (hint, hint, Ducky) replaces all normal goblins with DiD goblins, which are harder.
Also, one of the first things you should do is get an iron belt. It give you 3 armor and it only costs 40 gold (if I remember correctly...). This is a good deal (compared to other stuff of the same value), and it's going to be a long time before you can get a better one. Don't forget to talk to Eltar and get one of his spells if you can afford it. Good luck!

When I was at start with Conjuror, I also had little problems.I just made little plug-in, that adds 10 more HP, which is very much at start, but later it isn't anything.

I haven't released it, but I can e-mail it, if someone wants to.

It's not a cheat plug-in, it just makes game a little bit easier, at start.

I just started a conjurer game and I was able to get 250 gold plus the sword shank before I saw a goblin or a theif. Then I got a belt, iron boots, a cap (found, not bought) and the game just went on from there. So I don't think I would need a cheat.
