I am running EVO on Basilisk and it worked fine. I put all the quicktime files in the plug-in folder and I put all the game files in there. The game loads runs fine and then once I try to accept the first mission in Thallos it says sorry, a system error has occured "EV Override" unimplemented trap. Erm what the hell is an unimplemented trap? DO i need to remove anything here?

I also tried to play Empire of Crime on EV and it crashes while its loading. I have no idea wtf is with that one it says the same error then error code 15. Ive gotten several of these error code (insert number). Is there some where where I can look up what each of these error codes are? Or a help with Basilisk or help with macs whichever the problem is. ANy 1 help me please...

Another question...Is there a release date for EV NOVA? Or a general date although I doubt it would run too well on Basilisk with the awesome grahpics Iv'e seen compared to the other 2.

Basilisk is a mac emulater which means I run the game on a PC. Its not the memoery. The game plays fine it only happens when I try to accept this one mission that I kind of need to do anything in the mod.

As for the release date, I don't think Ambrosia generally announces release dates, but Nova is currently in what could be its final beta, so chances are that it'll be released within the next couple months.

Perhaps the mission you are accepting involves a QT movie. It requires lots of memory and some times crashes the game. Try removing the movie files of the plug (the file with the QT data and the movies) from the plug-ins folder. You will not see the animations during the game, but the game may not crash.
You can look at the movies outside the game, and you will see that you are loosing any key information for the gameplay.

Yah I thought I might have to do that. I dont know how to change Basilisks memery allocation but that could also be part of the problem. I try that thanks. EV NOVa in a couple MONTHS YEY. I hope I can find an emulater that runs it YEY.

hmm I think I just might have found the problem. I dont have Quicktime on one of my mack hard drives..

A word of warning. Frozen Heart is VERY, VERY hard and I would not recomend it to a new player. No offence but even I struggled with it =/

There's a 'disable quicktime movies' check box on the options screen, isn't there? Before you start deleting things or changing which folder they're in, I'd try changing the state of that button, and approaching the mission again. Lots of people - even some who have Macs rather than PC contemptibles and emulators - struggle to run Quicktime movies within EV:O.

Well it happens on the very first mission you receive in Frozen Heart, with Basilisk... whether or not QT movies are disabled. It may be just the fact that the movie files are in the folder, but I doubt it.. I gave up on it for playing Marathon emulated instead :).

You will need to remove the quick time stuff. This is explained in the readme file.

Using the disable function does not actually help.

I would be interested to know how you get on - as far as I know, FH has not previously been played through emulation.
