When i first played I dreamed of how I would fly my UE Cruiser, but then it hit me, this take little skill and isn't fun, after doing a little practice I decided the zidara was the way to go, but it needed a touch up. With 40 more tons of room2 more fighters and a much larger fuel tank, 1 more phase beam and 4 phase turrets this thing schooled a UE Cruiser and I didn't consider it cheating cause the Zidigar deserve a better Cruiser like ship. Also with some smart choices you can turn a turncoat into a very decent capital ship, hint,"sell the krait bay and equip with ECM and phase turrets." Finally I really believe the Emalgha and Emalghean Freighter can be salvaged, but it will take a a plugin to help them(new ships, weapons, outfits) If you know of any tell me. Thats my 2 cents.

I personally, most of the time anyway, fly an Arada for the whole game. Occasionally I will use an Azdara or Zidara for variety's sake, but the Arada (particularly the Azdgari or Zachit ones if you capture them) are just brilliant.

I have a highly modified Freight-courier. I destroyed the Voinian Dreadnought in this thing!! It has 3 blaze turrets, a rocket laincher, 25 rockets, a layer of Dospect armor, a cloaking device, ecm system, mass expansion, and 2 fuel tanks. I have captured 4 renegade helians as escort and they do their job rather well. I have recieved a Deadly combat rating in this vehicle. If anyone knows how I can make this ship better, please post a reply.

I'm opening a new pilot fole. Should I get a Freight-courier or a Lazira?

I've been big on UE Cruisers for awhile, but I finally captured my first Azdgari Enhanced Arada and have not looked back! It is so hilarious to dance around your big, tough opponents and shrug off everything they can throw at you.

After playing around in the crescent, I have grabbed to Emlagha so-called-turrets and am having a hoot knocking off Voinian Frigates and more. Those big, bad Voinian rockets just seem to bounce off you for all the damage they do!

(It doesn't hurt to have my old UE Cruiser around as an escort, either!)

Laziraman, I have a soft spot in my heart for the Freight-Courrier myself, and you seem to have a lot of the really nice bits already in place, such as Dospect armor. You might consider pursuing one of the three strand objectives (Azdgari, Igadzra or Zidigar) which will lead you to obtaining an Azdara, Igazra or Zidara, respectively; these are three of the best ships in the game. If you want to stay true to your UE roots, then persue the UE Cruiser.

I like Azdaras w/ both the expermental and normal sheild enhancers and dospect armor. They're fast and invincible.
If I'm in a slightly different mood I'll use my captured Enhanced Azdgari Arada with an extra sheild generator. Its just as invincible, but it has less speed and more space.

For my cheat ship, I like to fly the Sky Terror (Zidara) Ad blow the crap out of everything with either 37 Zidagar fighters or the 'Ring of Fire'. The Ring is a move where you max out either SAE's or SAD's and their respective launchers, (999 of each) and target an enemy vessel. Then hit your secondary weapon key and a huge cloud of energy bombs comes flying out of your ship. It SO cool. This works well with fleets, too. Just target the ship in te middle of the fleet.

The U.E. Crussier all the way. It might be a pian to fly with at first, but get an engine, thrust, and RCS uprades then its perfect. It wont even matter because of the space there is enough room for all your weapons. Then get those phase turrets and some secondary weapons. Usually non-homing missles is my favorite so they don't get jammed. Although Hunter Missles are very useful and don't get jammed as much if at all(or thats what i think). Get some other extras like dospic armor and shield enhancments then other minor essentials.

Finally a guy who likes Laziras! I did a similar thing to mine. I get 3 phase turrets, ECM, and Needle jammer, Sensor upgrades, 2 or 3 dispy rocket launchers, and the rest is outfitted with dispy rockets. I also still have the cloaking device, which I find as completely useless. Why do friendlys get mad at you when you use it? That never happens to me.

Well it all really depends on what mood i'm in, i used to fly a Crescent Fighter but they don't have any armor, i've taken quite a liking to the Arada wich i now use offen, i also like the Iazgra but its just a bit slow for my likeing, and i used to have this silly obession with the Crescent Warship but that is WAY to slow for me. I also like the UE fighter and the destroyer, and the Azdara i love that.

I always went for an Adzara with both shield rechargers, three shield capacitors and four swivel phase cannons, on the knowledge that more shields = faster shield recharge. I was usually able to take out Igazras with it. Would the Dospect have been a better bet? How effective are neutron cannons?

Helian. It's not as good as an arada, not as fast as an azdara, but I like it. It has that frontier human feel. I have completed all the central objectives in one with neutron stuff, dospect, and speed upgrades.

mmmm it's slow, with hunter missiles, an azdara bay, mass expansions, and bronev and dospect.. ...but after you get tribute from the entire crescent, what else matters?
