    • Damsel help!!!

Well, I've started a new game as a swordsman. I've come quite a way in the game (400 hp, 35-40+ in all stats, 60k xp till level 20 or 23 i believe, etc.). Anyway, I have yet to see the guy that is supposed to give me the quest journal thingy at the big bridge. I also started a new game as a ranger and found him but I felt more like playing as a swordsman at the time. For some reason the darned guy just won't appear. Any help would be appreciated.

O yea, and once you get the quest for upper berglum, where do you find it? I imagine it would be around the giant with those blue spirit guys.

. . . upper berglum, where do you find it?

Hi El Gavino. Welcome to the PoG forum. As the "Read Me" says, "To start, go to Fantrima and find a man walking near the fountain." Once you have done that, the runner will meet you at the bridge.

Upper Anyplace is either "to the north of" or "on higher ground than" the town of Anyplace. With respect to Upper Berglum, take your pick. I suspect that you will find it closer to Berglum than that petrified giant holding up High Garendall. Good luck with your game. ~RD

    • yea, about that... I did talk to the guy in fantrima. I talked to him before i even completed my first quest. Now he just says to come back and talk to him if I ever get stuck and then shuts up! Would I still be able to get to upper berglum or the island, even if I haven't met the stupid runner who's probably off at some inn gettin' drunk and stuff? Appreciate the help!

    • I have to ask, are you in the right place? This is the bridge that you helped the men complete when you did in the killer ookwasps. The runner is programed to "try to reach player" and, unless you trap him in some trees where he can't get to you, he should follow you if you walk away. I don't see how you could miss him.

Try this please. Go to Fantrima and save your game. Quit and de-select the Damsels plugin. Open your saved game briefly, save again, and quit. Now Re-select Damsels, open saved game once more and talk to Harold by the fountain in Fantrima. This should reset the stage for the beginning of the plugin and you should be able to meet the runner at the bridge.

    • Sorry about the double post but I clicked "reply" rather than "edit" on my own.

Edit: The runner is the one who gives you the first quest - to meet somebody in Berglum.

    • Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. And yes, I know which bridge is the right one. Like you said, I don't know how I could have passed him with out getting the quest.
I know about the runner guy from my ranger game. You go to berglum and meet that wizard guy who gets real ticked off if you keep talking to him. He tells you to go find Upper Berglum.
