    • Hello, and welcome to the boards. 🙂

Could you be slightly more specific with your question? What have you done for the UE with this pilot?

    • No prob,
Currently i am a member of the ue and sc meaning i can get those missions from the computer.
Also i have to kill the dreadnought in the Vorik system.. im finding this very difficult even if i hire crescent warship escorts. and i use one too, with a full load of upgrades..
I also just dropped off the operative on Troub, and Mcpherson says we have to wait to hear from him

      thanks

    • Hey Welcome to the boards! 🙂
I just signed on the day before yesterday and it's nice to talk to somebody else new. I'll give you the secret to beating the Dreadnought, wll at least my secret. The AI in the game will not fire on you until you are relatively close to the enemy ship. So you can, very carefully, creep slowly just barely ahead of this detection range and actually be able to hit the enemy as he tails you to his doom. This tactic is GREAT on vonian ships because they are just huge lumbering hunks of steel - or neutron plating - whatever you'd like to call it. Of course this tactic is a little like cheating, but it works. If you have the Zidagar ECM you can take on Igadzras this way to, but don't be in a ship that's fried if you mess up once because its pretty easy to find the enemy on your tail faster than you thought he'd be.

There are other races involved in a war with the Voinians...

If you want something less cryptic, ask, and ye shall recieve.

Have the questions you've asked in this topic been about ROTUE?

Just checking -- you got a message that said "You have completed one of Override's central objectives!" in regard to UE missions?

Kirrim Prime is a planet in western Miranu space. The missions involve buidling a ski resort.

    • oh yeah, another thing if you know

"NOTE: It is advisable to complete the Anna Balashova/UE Cruiser missions before playing Reign of the UE. The completion of these mission is not required for Reign of the UE, but in the course of the plugin something will happen to the Riomor system that will make the UE Cruiser missions impossible to complete. Also, in the missions it is presumed that you have completed the UE Cruiser missions, as UE Cruisers frequently appear in the game."

So, I assume that you want to find this mission string...

It starts on New Taranto, I think, or perhaps Knox. Anyway, You have to find a missing ship designer. Not quite a hard string -- just some tracking, basically.

    • so.. you got the mission from new toranto? It says look for a renegade. Think about where the biggest human renegade base is... Not Pariah, because it's blown up. Hmmmm... There's a station somewhere to the south.. Free**** ? 😉

Try the renegade station in the system just northeast of Yelts. You may have to bribe them to get in, but when in, go to the bar. You might also take them some Saalian Brandy to use as a "gift."
Let me give you a bit of advice, (and this is for the rest of us): download EVO Cat from Ambrosia. Double-click on the EVO Cat icon, then double-click on the data files in the EVO folder when the dialogue box comes up. What you'll get is a large amount of files, each of whom gives you all the info you need to do each mission... I have found it invaluable ever since.

BTW: I make it a point not to use ships/weapons from races we have no contact with so early in the game. As I make contact with each race...only then do I let myself use their ships/weapons. I also don't work for Voinians or renegades, only the "good guys."
One thing I do use extensively is the cloaking device. It lets me come up on the baddies before they can do anything about it, then decloak, target, and blast away! Then recloak... Sort of Romulan-like tactics, don'tcha think?

BTW2: After using EVO Cat, I use PFE 3.0 (Pilot File Editor) to edit my pilot file. I find it's easier than using EV-Edit...

      Good Luck!
      Ace 😉

    • One way to tell what mission is next is to use Ev-Edit. Make a copy of anything that you don't want to get screwed up though, because I've heard some horror stories about what can happen. Anyway, go into it and look at the mission resource. After each mission there is a bit set, and if you can find the mission that needs that bit set before you are able to take it, that should be the one your looking for. For example, if you were to accept the UE Shipping offer it would set, let's just say, bit #1. Now if you look through the other available missions and see UE: Bring Cargo To <DST> or something like that, there's a good chance that if you click on it and look inside its editor one of the requirements to access that mission is to have bit #1 set. So you can see the relation there. And a question, how do you guys usually make money? What I do is shuttle large amounts of tourists from Earth to New Rome and then bring food back to Earth. If you do this for about three hours you can get a Crescent Warship. Is there anything faster?
