Hi!

I have EV: Override 1.0.0 and the graphic is very bad. Actually, the graphic-level is bellow the one which EV. itself has!
Is this a flaw in my computer or is a flaw in the game?

No, I'm fairly certain that its the game itself. Some people (myself included) don't particularly care for the graphics in EVO, but others do.

Well, is it my computer's problem or is the graphic in Override really that awful? I mean, it looks like 256-colors - MAX!

I am, however, not using my Macintosh and the Mac I have is rather old... But game works fine in all ways!
What can I do to make the graphic look better?

Heck, I'll stick to EV instead! I haven't conquered Sol yet! >=)

Agreed. I can't stand the Override graphics... They look very rushed and plastic.

Escape Velocity (as of version 1.0.4) has far better graphics.

I may not like it because of how hard it is to see ships sometimes, but the plugin (url="http://"http://www.AmbrosiaSW.com/cgi-bin/vftp/show.pl?product=evo&category;=plugins&display;=rating&file;=magma201.sit.bin")MAGMA(/url) seems to be popular with quite a large group of EV:O gamers. Maybe you should try that out. shrugs

It IS in 256 colors. So is EV.

Many people have turned to (url="http://"http://www.modenstudios.com/magma/")EVO:MAGMA(/url) to improve their visual (and aural) EVO (and there's a version for EV) experience. I personally like the graphics but dislike the angled spins simply for the technical problems of using angled spins in EV or EVO.

I think maybe we let a "oooh, good graphics is everything and I'm going to go play the latest PS2 game" person get to these boards.

EV and EV:O are good not for the graphics, but for their playability, and their plot. MAGMA is good, especially the EV one (the EVO one makes some fighters look too similar, in my opinion) and there are total conversions like Frozen Heart that make a major improvement.

And if I ever get along with ReEVO, that'll add all new graphics. And missions. And desc. And...I'm tired. Nighty nighty.
