Points at PoG FAQ:
Q. Will Pillars of Garendall run under OS X?
A. Pillars of Garendall was developed to run natively under OS X.
Unfortunately a bug was introduced when OS X.2 was released - PoG can write over old saved game files, but it can't create new ones.
The developer is aware of the problem, and is working on a solution.
In the meantime, there are workarounds available-
PoG can write over old files, it just can't create new ones.
So if you have an old saved game file, use that name when you save, and PoG will ask if you want to replace it. Say yes, and you should be all set.
If you don't have any old files, use TextEdit to create a blank text document. Then go to the Format menu and select the "Make Plaintext" option. Save it and name it something like "Saved Game.pog", with the .pog being the crucial part. You'll get a message saying,
"Document name Saved Game.pog already seems to have an extension. Append '.txt' anyway?"
Click on Don't append. Then move this file into the PoG folder.
Then open PoG, and start a new game. Save it to the PoG folder and use the name above. PoG will ask if you want to replace it. Say Yes.
Then when you want to open that game, you will have to drag that file onto the PoG app, and it will open. You won't be able to Load that game, it will be greyed out. Just double click on the saved game file, or drag and drop it onto the App itself.

They say that if you play a Windows Install CD backwords, you hear satanic messages. That's nothing; play it forward and it installs Windows.
