I just, with great difficulty managed to finish the missions related to the freeing of huron. However, instead of Huron loving me, Huron and all other independent systems HATE ME. I am ranked Most Wanted. After i accepted it, and then realized i was outgunned, i aborted the mission, (checked back to see that i coudl still get the mission, and aborted again) and then flew halfway across the galaxy to upgrade my ship. (WOW! RCS+Engine+Thrust upg are AMAZING! Swarms of kraits used to tear me to wreakage, now i can take a wave of them one-two at a time, and emerge almost unscathed) I then came back to huron, took the mission, and went to troub, TRASHED the renegade fleet, but all the independent systems, (including the new free huron) still want me dead. What have i done wrong?! How can i fix it?! i dont have a backup of my pilot file... (i guess i could write a magic plugin to fix it, but if i brought this upon my self through bad behavior, that wouldnt be right. And i dont know what my record should be anyway)

I think just aborting the mission in the first place was what angered them - I don't think it has a time limit so you didn't have to - for future reference :). But anyway, you're wanting to fix it.... I think the best way is just to keep killing pirates in and around their systems, hoping that they'll realize the error of their ways. I don't think it will take too much to get yourself restored to at least decent individual, but it's pretty hard to get Independents past that at the best of times.

Do it the hard way. Dominate all the planets that hate you, and then some.

Chances are that in TRASHING the renegade fleet, you also trashed some of the good guys.

AArgh! You can anger systems by aborting missions?! Thats not right! The problem with killing renegades around thier systems is that thier milita attacks me too! And i think it would take alot of work. i am listed as most wanted isnt that like, the second or third worst rating possible?!

Try using Pilot File Editor, it is quite useful
