I completed the game, but I the las save that I have is in the gaurdian cave and I can't get how, is there some was to fix this?

I think you are out of luck if you have killed the Guardian and then saved.

I could use some help on this also. I went looking for the Symbol of Garendall and somehow ended up killing the Guardian. Now I'm in the cave with the giant's foot and can't seem to do anything. Any help would be appreciated...

To be that far, you must have the shield, walk up to the toe missing the nail, and action. you beat the game, If you have saved anywere past the guardian gate, your stuck there.

So the game does allow a person to get to the Guardian without having the shield and then traps them?

well, it should not, but it looks like its possible. If you dont listen to the elf and not complete the shield before faceing the guardian, you can get stuck at the giants foot with no way to finish the game.

And of course I found this out the hard way... so now I have to decide if I want to start a new game.

Go for it and start a new game, jus use another class now. Dont you love the trinity Plug? it provides already 3 new game scenarios, based on how you manage to beat everything.

I know that this is an old topic but, My sister is trying to beat the game as a ranger, she has killed the gaurdian, and gone up to the toes, but the game won't let her get close enough to the toes missing its toe-nail to put teh sheild down. she is using trinity(of course) and the DiD plugins.

If she's using DiD, then she can't kill the Guardian. In DiD you are transported directly to the giants foot to fight Ratznest and...oops! Once he (they?) is/are dead, another person, the last princess, should be there to talk to.

One last thing, grave digging is generally frowned upon, especially when the thread is this old. You could always just start a new one!

she is using DiD but she doesn't have to kill Ratznest(sp.) or the devil guy. she was transported to the gaurdian chamber. i was given a warning but she wasn't and i was transported to the foot but she was transported to the gaurdian chamber.

should she save, go out , come back in, but not use the DiD plug-in, and then load?

I have no clue what the results would be, but I suppose that if you were to attempt that, then you should make a copy of the saved game first. You could also try the teleport plugin on the PoG addons page. But I guess that plugin would only help if she doesn't have the Mil'karas (sp?) shield.

EDIT: After rereading your post, I don't see why she really would want to. When you insert the Mil'karas Shield into the giant's toenail, all it does is give some dialog and end the game, which I think that she might prefer doing much later.

There are some ways out of this mess. It is the Damsels plugin which blocks off the toes until you dispense with Ratznest et al. Since your sister had not had Loogor reforge the Blade Diabolus, she got into the Guardians chamber. And without the right sword, Ratznest didn't come to the party either. The access to the toes is blocked so that one doesn't slip the shield on by accident while fighting Ratznest.

She can: A) Go back to an earlier save before entering the Guardian chamber. This is the best choice. Or ****she can uncheck the Damsels plugin and finish out the regular game but this will not allow her to finish DiD. Or C) she can install PoG Dev Tools plugin which will allow her to teleport out of the chamber with the toes and she can then finish DiD but will not be able to finish the regular game because the Guardian cannot be defeated twice.

You can save a game in the chamber with the toes. You cannot save a game in the Guardian's chamber. If there is no save before entering the chamber, you can save in the toes chamber and by using the methods above, complete both story lines. You just can't do them together.

She has to have the completed shield in inventory or she would never have gotten into the Guardian's chamber.
