Expand your Mind!!
Include a larger section of the Gundam universe and you will find that there is a lot happening in space.. as a matter of fact a good chunk of the gundam battles take a lot in space..
check original gundam movies and follow up through Zeta to double Zeta.. you'll discover large numbers of mecha and ships.. huge space battles.. hundreds of ships..

I'm pretty good at drawing, and, though I'm not good at computer animation, I can use Photoshop very well.
Two suggestions-
-Use scenes from the show for the illustrations of each planet.
-When communicating with other pilots, such as Zechs, have a picture of them where their ship would normally be in the communications interface.

oops, i have to say soemthing to make sure this isn't spam.
One thing, in true Japnese conversion to English "Heero Yuy" would actuall be "Hiro Yui" which looks much better anyway. Cartoon Network warped the names so that the american population wouldn't be confused. All i ask is that you change that one name, if not I'll do it in the descriptions anyway.I would know, I lived in Hong Kong (lotsa Japanese friends there though!)

Does the Minovski particle effect exist in the GW universe? I've only heard it talked about in regards to UC.
And you might want to take a look at Dark Realms from (url="http://"http://www.meowx.com")http://www.meowx.com(/url) It also tries to put non-ships in a plug-in, so it might interest you.
