So I've finally decided to play these wonderful plugs and I'm having a problem. In the mission where I'm supposed to distract the UE at Knox whilst the Voinians attack Telnan there are no defenders of Knox and I can't land there. I've harassed everything in the system, I've gone ahead and destroyed the Telnana Defence Fleet, I've even gone to Freeport and bought a fake ID so I could land on Knox, but to no avail. The red mission flag stays over Knox and I can't complete the mission.

I believe this is the mission where you have to land on Knox's atmosphere, no? Well, in that case, instead of hitting the usual button to select the planet, you must press the number "1" on your keyboard. This will select Knox's atmosphere and you can land on it. Or maybe it's #2... whatever, try both of them. One will select the atmosphere, and you'll be very happy.

I actually don't get an option to land on Knox's atmosphere and it doesn't say anything about it in the mission briefing so that doesn't work Flatty.

Ya... when I re-read it, I realized that we were talking about different things. All I can suggest is the usual; jump in and out of the system a few times, and if that doesn't work, cancel the mission and start it over again.

What you need to do is rename the ROTV II plug so that it is alphabeticly before ROTV I. The gist of the problem is that the game loads ROTV I before ROTV II, and thus Knox is thought to not have an atmosphere in the game, because in ROTV I, it doesn't have one. ROTV II has a Knox with one and, if it loads first, so does the game. Sorry if I'm sounding technical.

That's correct, but I don't think this is the Knox atmosphere part of the plug? At least, that's what tripps said when I talked about it.

heh... back when ROTV II was first released, I remember that 99% of the ROTV II questions had to do with Knox's atmosphere
