What do toadstools,possum oil, and boot polish do in pog?

Toadstools have a use during one of the quests: You need alot of them.
I have no clue what possum oil and boot polish do. Probably they have a use, but I do not know.

Possums are good eat'in, but you have to have the right kind of cookin' oil.

Jumping bean extract is also labled "Keep out of the reach of children". As you know, you need this to finish the plugin. Does this mean that if you are under the age 18, you aren't supposed to finish DiD?

I take offence. :frown: They are saleable, therefore valuable. They add variety to the inventory list. They are a minor puzzle to solve. They provide a topic for a thread like this. Do we not all get ads for products which seem not to live up to their claims? Thus they illustrate a lesson of life.

I was waiting for someone to pick up on that. The exception which proves the rule? A necessary item to get the job done but one which requires caution and restraint. Actually, the player may be young, but the hero is definitely not a child.
