How do you get the Anna Balashova missions?
-
You accept them when they're offered to you :-). Just fly around get a good combat rating and do some of the other UE missions first. And killing Voinians helps.

MY combat rating is "dangerous," I have a heavily upgraded UE Destroyer, and I've killed voinians and done most of the UE missions except dreadnought. Will I get Anna Balashova missions if I do the dreadnoght?

You have to go to New Taronto to get the missions. And before you post anymore topics do a search for what you're looking for.

Grrrr...I've been to New Taranto many times. And what do you mean by search?

There is no real way of knowing when you can get the mission, I think the probibility of getting them is really low, thus it is harder to get the big ship in the end, its made to be annoying, I think.
Try the dreadnaught mission, it will defently give you any combate edge the computer will want.

I'm farly sure the Dreadnaught mission should be done to get the Anna Balashova missions. I don't think it has as much to do with your combat rating but more to do with the overall storyline. After all, why would the UE be so afraid of the Dreadnaught if the UE Criuser is already in service?
Oh yeah, when you finish the Dreadnaught missions Admiral McPherson says "the UE have their best designers working to combat any future Dreadnaught problem" (or something like that). That totally sets it up for the Anna Balashova mission string.
But if it doesn't work straight away just sit back and wait (Yes, I know its annoying waiting). Sometimes you have to give a mission time before it pops up. But it •will• come up, belive me.

I once fought the Dreadnaught in a Crusier. I still got my butt kicked, mind you, but thats not the point.

You don't have to blow up the dreadnaugt first. You have to finish the mission string up to the point where you get to buy all UE ships.

I have UE fighters, destroyers, and cruisers available to me, what else is there besides the Cruiser?

It was supposed to be Carriers, sorry. BTW, I got the dreadnought mission, but before I accepted the "destroying the dreadnought" mission, I did the one with the cloaking device, went back to new taranto, and I got the Anna B missions.

I think you mean the UE Carrier, not the Cruiser, as you only mentioned three ships. The AB Missions are pretty hard, since you have to go up against several Turncoats, one of which has rockets.

Bah! Wimpy rockets are not a problem when you have a captured Voinian Cruiser!

I didnt know one of the turncots had rockets. Oh well, one of the disadvantiges of having a ship that can take out most ships in a couple seconds. Or it might be that I play version 1.01 instead of 1.02

F25 made the Cruiser missions essentially obsolete because for some reason it made the Cruiser appear after I installed F25 and be available for purchase on my system. Now if that don't beat all getout.

You needn't to have doen all the dreadnought missions. But you may have to do the rescue scoutship crew mission first, they give you the UE destroyer and carrier. You need a high combat rating (dangerous?) and a goo legal rating (do FE-missions, good for both)
Go to the bar in the smaller planet in Tallii (forgot the name) You may have to try more then once. The mission is a 1 line cryptic sentence. Good luck.------------------
