I have downloaded SW2.2.1 from the board but I get a BBEdit file, uncompressed. How do I convert that to a plug-in, please?

That's odd. It just had the wrong creator code.
Just put it in the EVO plug-in folder anyway and pray that it works...

BBEdit is a popular HTML and text editor for the Mac. Ben Chess's editor is EV-Edit.

If it still doesn't work, you can change the creator code with resedit. I don't know the normal creator code, but you can look it up by opening up a normal plug. If you don't have resedit, it is available at apple's website (Macs forever!!)

If you change the code you get an empty plug-in. Blank.

If you put the text file in plug-in folder - nothing.
