Cool! Another RPG! I think I'll be Igadzra, since they have strong ships and cool weapons (and all that blah blah blah yackitey-shmackitey).

So, here's my profile:

ESPilot's large fleet of Igadzra ships lands on Igadzra and he proceeds to the Devolpment&Research; Academy HQ (or Drahq (pronounced 'drahk')), where he enters a heavy security room with guards and scientists filling the place, and he enters his keycard, and goes through the handprint and eye scan process, and is allowed into another heavy-guarded room, with a few scientists, each with a small badge shaped like an eight-pointed star with the official Igadzra Drahq logo on it, a symbol of great knowledge and rank in the academy. They're looking on a blueprint on the wall, the blueprint of the Igadzra Beam.

ESPilot says "Listen. Krey, I want this blueprint by 0-800 hours tonight. I'm going to study it and see if modifications can be made." The eldest of the two, even though they look the same age, both old and wise, takes down the blueprint and says "You can have it now, since we don't really need it." ESPilot says "Thanks. By tomorrow I should be done looking at it, and I'll probably have a blueprint drawn out for you." He then walks out to his office in the Navy HQ.

—:Next day:—

ESPilot walks out to the Drahq with a large rolled-up piece of paper in his hand. He enters the room there Krey and his partener Pilad are looking at various plans and reading various books from the massive amounts of archives in the room. ESPilot gives the blueprint to them, and wordlessly, and nod to each other and exit the room, ESPilot following in their wake.

Krey and Pilad, along with several other top researchers, enter the main project room where many different projects are underway. ESPilot heads out to the shipyard, where the I.S.S. Igadzra and its fleet blast off into space.

NEW PROJECT:

Type: Turreted Beam
Name: EMP Beamer
Desc: The newest from the oldies at the Igadzra Development&Research; Academy HQ, this new modification of the Igadzra Beam takes in negative ion charges from space, and using Synthetic Energy Regeneration (SynthEnRe) technology, almost immediately duplicates the ions to a number sufficient to fill a 2 ton cargo storage (it doesn'y sound like much, but that's A LOT of ions). The ions are then used to create a turret-mounted long range beam that can quickly cripple all of the target ship's systems such as shielding and radar and even engines, with a significant drawback: the ship using this weapon will be drained of all shielding and 100 units of fuel (enough for 1 jump).

Estimated time to completion: 4 posts.

I take it we're not required to follow the EVO "storyline"?

I think that the best system is to stay a) the UE have the UE cruiser, and
the Voinians have the Dreadnought c) no other systems have been attacked or
research made - Huron is still UE.

Agreed? This gives both sides a strong ship to work with.

Also, the power cords hooked to a ship's shield generator cannot be removed without causing serious damage to your ship's shielding, and therefore you must purchase a new Igadzra Development&Research; Academy EMP Beamer for any new ship you buy.

Glad you came around, Rooster. You were acting selfish and irritable that day, but that's okay, I know how it feels. I accept your ammends, and I hope we can restart Sokaro as soon as possible. (Rooster's law, eh? Sounds about right. Those rules weren't used in Dark Tide, though.)

BTW, Silverdragon, what was the name of Buba's webstory? I don't recall seeing any webstory of that type before LBS. I'll go look, but the title would be helpful.

Esponer buys a force of 10 Zidaras, and uses to it raid Igadzra worlds. He
destroys 19 Igadzra Aradas, 7 Igazras and a number of freighters, carrying 4000
tons of resources. Esponer attempts to bombard the planet of Mark, but is forced
back.

2 Zidagar fighters were destroyed, and 4 million credits were gained - after
repairs that comes to 1 million gained.

Research program initiated:

Name: Pulse Cannon/Pulse Turret/Swivel Pulse Cannon/Rear Pulse Cannon
Estimated time: 2 1/2 months, 10 posts: but research is a guessing game, could
be longer or shorter

Description: The Pulse weapon is a more powerful weapon than the Phase cannon,
or anything else, when it comes down to it. Each bolt does slightly less damage than
a phase bolt, but they fire so fast, and have a high range <1.25 of phase cannon>
that they can cause about 140% of the damage of phase weapons. Pulse weapons aren't
very effective against armour, but they still put up a good show.

Stats: Weak, extremely fast firing rate, extremely fast firing speed, 1.25 phase
range, overall 140% phase damage, weak against armour, high impact.

Sapphire begins work on a new form of protection called Crimson Sheathe. It's a
form of lift armour, and each layer weighs only 2 tons.

Up to 10 layers can be placed on a ship, and each layer raises the armour rating
by 3 points. This means all UE ships will have 30 extra armour if they have all layers.
It will take about 12 posts.

Also, some thought is being taken into making a new UE warship called the UE Kestrel.
No details have been decided on yet.

Esponer, there is no planet (well, there is one but it's inhabitable) in Mark. There's only a station.

Angered by the attack by the Zidagar, ESPilot sends a force of 30 Igadzra Aradas and 11 Igazras, led by an Igazra named the I.S.S. Incognito, one of the few Igazras with an Igadzra beam, to engage combat in the Terapin system, as they suddenly appear from hyperspace and fire their SAE's catching the Zidagar off-guard, and any Zidagar ships close to where an Igadzra ship jumped in is immediately pounded by phase fire and SAE's. The Incognito launches its CF's and sends them at the enemy while engaging a Zidara and obliterating it with heavy firepower. In about 10 hours the battle is over, 3 Igazras lost, and 9 Igadzra Aradas destroyed, and all Zidagar destroyed, as well as all freighters.

As the first mate of the I.S.S. Incognito relays the story to ESPilot at the headquarters (the ships are still in Terapin; they're discussing it over real time long-range comm). ESPilot says "That's one for one." ESPilot then says "Get 5 more Igazras and 10 Aradas to Terapin. I want a full blockade of the station as soon as possible." A cloaked Igadzra with a military uniform under his cloak says "Right away Admiral." and leaves the office.

Soon, Terapin Station is completely blockaded by Igadzra ships, with no supplies or military relief getting through.

As you can see, Commander Esponer, I have fully blockaded the station in the Terapin system, and trust me, there will be no release from this blockade unless my demands are met. What demands you ask? Here are my terms: I will spare the lives of all on the station, granted that they obey the Igadzra, and granted that you surrender the station, and this system, to my rule. If these demands aren't met within 2 days, I will see to it that the station be obliterated, either that or the inhabitants will be starved to death from lack of supplies, or perhaps both.

<2 posts until completion of the EMP Beamer, and certain modifications have been made>

New modifications: the extra power needed to shoot the beam no longer drains shields, but a larger energy storage tank has been installed, therefore requiring only 60 (600 in ResEdit) shield units, instead of all the shields. This doesn't change the overall mass (20 tons) however, due to thin layers of positive ions which seperate the negative ions, keeping them compact but at the same time keeping them from exploding into thousands of tiny but dangerous sparks.

ESPilot, webstories differ from the game. 11 Igazras and a couple more Aradas
can't defeat Outpost Terapin just like that.

And remember you've got Rima's forces AND my forces to fight, and that she
could move reinforcements in (all Zidagar ships have 1 day hyperspace times)

Of course you realize ESPilot, that the Zidigar specialize in small vessels, and, being quick, could send reinforcements into the system well within ten hours.

The Igadzra Order is a large govt, with a lot of ships. now, you have two choices.
a) Double the amount of ships in the attack fleet

Wow. That's the... well, there are too many times that my posts have been revoked to count. I must agree with both of you on your opinions. I kinda got carried away with what I was doing, but anyway, I will backtrack a little to before i did the raid.

An officer with torn and ragged clothing stands before ESPilot, and after relaying the damage of the raid, ESPilot says "Get repair crews to Mark. Increase security around the fringe worlds. I don't want something like that happening again." The Igadzra officer salutes and says "Yes sir Admiral. The repairs should be done in a few days." ESPilot turns around and sits at his desk in the office, and begins drawing out something on a large rectangular piece of paper. He stops, picks up a comm unit and says "Oh and Sergeant, tell those eggheads at the devolpment center that there should be a new project coming up soon." "Yes sir." ESPilot then continues making the design on the paper.

In a few days, the repairs are complete, and security is heavily increased, and the design ESPilot was working on is finished and he presents it to the Devolpment&Research; Academy.

We are working on a form of armour called Crimson Sheathe. For 10 tons it can
increase fighter defence by over 100% (30 increase in armour).

I have also heard that you have an enemy called 'Voinians'. They are not interested in trade, so we consider them as neutral. We would like more information on them.
I am not sure about an alliance, we do not have many combat ships. I will send an ambassador to Emalgha, and propose semi-alliance at this stage. If you agree, we can give you the blueprints for the zachit fighter and maybe the merchant arada.
