    • Unable to use the Game Continuer plugin

Having managed to take out the Guardian, I wanted to keep playing anyway, and MickyBits told me about the Game Continuer plugin. I downloaded it and tried it out. So far, however, I can't get the game to use it.

I tried installing that plugin - a dialog box popped up, tossed the plugin in the "ChineseInputMethodPlug-in" folder - at least, I presume its the plugin... "Data001.dat.dat", but so far, the game doesn't notice it.

Is there something else I should be doing with this plugin?

That's right - the ChineseInputMethodPlug-in folder in the Library folder. I suppose I should mention I'm running MacOS X v10.2.6 on an 800 MHz iBook. The item installed was Data001.dat.dat, which I also put into the PoG Plugins folder after just having it in the other one didn't work.

      Any of this helpful?

      Thanks

    • BretFien, take the readme out of the folder (it doesn't belong in there) and install the Game Continuer folder (with the dat file in it) into your Plug-ins folder and then it should work properly. You cannot install just the data file because it will not be recognized. I hope that works for you. ~RD

    • Well I tried it, and guess what - it worked. Must be one of those different ways OS X works. Anyway, thanks for the help.

No, it's the way the plug-in folder works. The dat. file has to be in a folder with the plug-in name. If the folder with the name is not there, the plug-in won't show up.
