That week, the fighter pilots return with the Voinian Techs. only two fighters return...
The fighters were able to take on a lone frigate fairly easily, and get the techs, but another fleet came in. the other fighters didn't stand a chance. REDchigh talks to the first pilot- But How can you carry weopons when a fighter only has one ton cargo space?!
"Easy. my fighter has a neutron cannon replacing it's blaze. the other has got rid of it's rocket launcher, and has a layer of Dospect. I also have a half-ton sample of Bronev in mine" "Great Job!"

I get my scientists to start workin on my primary more... use the neutron (Voinian), Phase(Igadzra) and blaze, to make a weopon.
the firing rate of phase, Shield damage of Phase, Range and accuracy of neutron, and armor damage of Blaze. Also, the compactness of Blaze or Phase (No 35 Ib turrets!)
will take four posts. will be called the X turret and X cannon respectively. Xturrets will be the main weopon on the Cruisers. the Cruiser project is postponed until the X turret design is complete.

"I'll be there!" Thunder replies to Zacha Crusader, returning to prep his ship for launch. As soon as he had the S.S. Psychadelic ready, he launches and sets course for Dewe.

Upon entering the system, he finds the Zacha vessels already locked in battle with a fleet of renegade raiders.

"Okay guys," Thunder calls to his bridge crew, "It's time to show the Zacha what we're made of!" Immediately the Miranu Courier speeds forward, engaging a renegade arada. Normally the arada would have the edge, but Thunder was a skilled pilot and knew that Renegade Aradas were only armed with forward firing weapons. He used this to his advantage, staying out from in front of the arada while pummeling it with his phase turrets. Soon it's armor was being ripped away; and the arada was destroyed. Thunder's ship was still at 92% shields.

Next he turned to handle another arada, using a similar strategy, but before he could disable it he saw a renegade Lazira coming in, firing SAD modules. Luckily Thunder's ship was outfitted with an ECM system, and only 1 of the several SAD's managed to hit its mark. Knowing that a Lazira was a far more dangerous ship than an arada, Thunder opened fire with pursuit missiles, dealing heavy damage to the Lazira. He then hit his afterburners and charged the Lazira head on, swerving at the last second, but getting in a volley of phase cannon fire. This maneuver drew the Lazira away from the Arada Thunder had been been attacking, giving him time to go back and finish off the arada before turning his attention back to the Lazira. Now it was a 1 on 1 battle, and both ships opened fire with phase turrets, the agile courier matching up well against the more powerful Lazira. Phase turret fire was difficult to evade, but somehow Thunder managed to keep a step ahead of the turrets at least some of the time, while almost constantly hitting the mark with his own turrets. Soon both his ship and the enemy fell into armor, but Thunder knew he had the advantage here, his ship being outfitted with extra armor. He opened fire with pursuit missiles once again, knowing they'd be more effective against armor than phase vfire. Soon the Lazira went up in a ball of flames, and Thunder took stock of the situation. His armor was down to 85%; it was time to retreat to the Zacha battle lines to let his shields recharge. He set a course for the Zacha battle lines, and did just that...

ESPilot's fleet lands on Hizdriar after making a short change of course, and a team of happy scientists and researching are waiting at the port. They present him with a small tomato-sized metal ball, with several outlets in it.

One of the scientists says "It's only the prototype, so we'd like you to test it." ESPilot says "I'd gladly test it, and report any deficiencies back to you guys." He then leaves for his ship, and after hooking the prototype up to his shield generator takes off and goes to Dewe, where a force of Renegades are massed, and through all the Zacha and Renegade craft, ESPilot most of all notices a Miranu Courier low on shields.

He launches all five of his Crescent Fighters, sending them into the fray, as his CW escort launches his 3, and each of the Heavy Carrier-TT's (which look like ordinary H. Freighters) launch their seven fighters, making a total of29 fighters from the fleet. ESPilot's fleet launches their guided weapons at the renegades, taking them by surprise, as the wave of Crescent Fighters swarm them completely, added to the efforts of the waining Zacha forces. Then ESPilot's fleet engages in close combat, the modified mercenary ships being more than a match for the renegades. He then spots the Courier, which has now regained shields, firing Pursuit Missiles and phase turrets, outdoing the renegades with its speed.

As a Renegade Lazira is disabled, one of the TT's from ESPilot's fleet gets alongside it, boarding tube appearing from the hull and sounds of troops coming from the tubes. Soon the Lazira is captured, and becomes added to ESPilot's fleet. The rest of the renegades have been destroyed, and ESPilot's fleet goes to Outpost Zachit for refuelling and resupplying, with the S.S. Honor Blade's shields reduced only 30% from the Ultimate Tomato. He sees someone walking past him in the station, Thunder, and asks him "Were you the pilot of that Miranu Courier back there?"

Esponer was in his office when the report came. A tall, cloaked Igadzra came in
through the door.

"Commander, the prototype Neutron Blaster is complete. It's not 100% operational,
but it should work well." the man said.

"Good. Equip it on one Igazra with SAI modules, and then come tell me. I'll personally
see to testing it."

The Igazra leaped into the Mavs system. 2 Crescent warships, 3 Laziras, 2 Aradas
and three Crescent fighters were present. The Crescent warships quickly sent out
their six fighters, and the nine fighters moved to attack the Igazra.

"Launch SAIs! One for each fighter!" Esponer commanded. A bunch of 3 SAI modules
came out from the Igazra, destroying three Crescent fighters instantly. Five more
were destroyed before they reached the Igazra.

"Spray fire from remaining phase turrets!"

Indeed their weren't many phase turrets still on the Igazra - only two. It was enough,
however, to secure the fate of the lone Crescent fighter. The fighter quickly
exploded.

By this time the Laziras and Aradas had reached the Igazra, and were attacking it,
causing heavy damage. The Igazra fired out a blast from it's Neutron Blaster, and
another one followed a few seconds later, destroying one Lazira.

It fired off another two neutron blasts, levelling another Lazira. Shields were getting
low now, and the phase turrets had only picked off one Arada.

By this time the Crescent warships were also coming close.

"Fire SAIs at one Crescent warship!" Esponer commanded. A cluster of SAIs flew out,
followed by another cluster, and another. One Crescent warship exploded.

The Igazra turned on the two Aradas, dispensing one with a neutron blast and another
with phase fire. Now one Lazira and one Crescent warship were attacking it, but
luckily the Lazira was out of heavy rockets.

A blast of neutron energy smashed into the Lazira, followed by phase fire and another
neutron blast. The Lazira exploded.

"This Neutron Blaster is very good." Esponer remarked.

"Yes, but it's almost completely depleted our fuel supply."

"Hmm... Send the command back after the battle to give all Igazras 20 jumps fuel."
Esponer murmured.

The Igazra, which was now at critical shields, hit the Crescent warship with one neutron
blast while the renegade ship made a pass, and another neutron blast fired out when
the Crescent warship was almost on top of the Igazra.

"Disable it!" Esponer commanded.

The Crescent warship was disabled, and the fuel was stolen.

Shields on the Igazra were down.

"We need to a) raise fuel, and raise shields. I'll have to work on both of those
right away." Esponer commented.

ESPilot takes off from Outpost Zachit, heading to Hizdriar. He lands and contacts the scientists and researchers who made the Ultimate Tomato Shield Generator and says to them "The test was successful. My ship took on a Crescent Warship, a Lazira, disabled another Lazira (which was added to the fleet) and four Aradas with 70% of my shields left." The researchers are overjoyed with this and one, a Zidagar scientist says "We'll be producing as many as we can, and since the tecnology and parts needed aren't short in supply, we can mass produce them easily!" ESPilot asks them "About how much would these be sold for?" One replies "About 3 million." ESPilot says "Raise that to 5.2 million, tech sergeant." He then leaves to his ship, while the scientists begin starting to make more of the 'Tomatoes'.

He then sets course to Igadzra.

With Esponer, having just watched the attack.
"We are not, I repeat NOT, giving the Neutron Blaster to the UE. Personally, I think giving them the SAIs was a bad idea, it would have been better to give the now obsolete, but still very good, SAEs. You must remember that they have no tech to give us, though it would be nice to see them destroy the vionians... I suggest that we try to get access to their new ship. I will GIVE you my 30mil credits to invest in an even better form of the SAI. And please consult me before making big decisions. When the Zidagar reply I think we should attack the Azdgari straight away, but I don't yet know what the map is like, so I couldn't really say where. I suggest fast, simultaeneous hit and run attacks from the Zidagar in several systems, then we sweep through with about 2000 Igazra.

He takes 40 tons on the Igazra and uses to to increase the fuel to 30 jumps, and
takes 20 tons on the Igadzra Arada to raise it to 15 jumps.

The shield problem remains, but Esponer hears that a man named ESPilot has
devised a device that greatly raises shields....

Later, ESPilot's fleet arrives at the Igadzra spaceport where he disembarks from the S.S. Honor Blade and heads toward Igadzra Headquarters. He is, again halted by a guard. He murmurs to himself "I'm getting tired of this.." and says to the guard "I'm here on official business." The guard replies "And what busniess is that?" ESPilot responds "I have something to discuss with your superior, Esponer." He then goes to the central quarters where Esponer is to discuss his plan.

spherical device with several buttons, and presses a combination.

"All SAI we gave to the UE are now disabled. When they report the failure, we'll

Jess agrees, but isn't so sure.....
