Let's talk about what happens when you pop a floppy disk into a Mac. Presto! It pops up on the desktop, ready to use.
Let's talk about what happens when you pop a floppy disk into a PC. Nothing happens until you navigate through "My Computer" to the proper drive icon and open it manually.
Yes, because under WINDOWS floppies aren't automounted, CD are. Considering no one uses Floppies anymore, I don't see this as being that important. However, in other OSs like Linux, you can have your floppy automounted.
Suppose you want to check how much memory your system and apps are using on a Mac. Go to "About This Computer" under the apple menu and get the actual megabyte values.
Suppose you want to check how much memory your system and apps are using on a PC. Well, you can't really. You can use the Resource Meter to get percentages of free data, but not actual sizes.
Because of proper virtual memory management. If you want, there are utilities to do that, but I don't know why you would want to. Again, this is under Windows, not all PC OSs.
Want to change your mouse while your working on a Mac? Go ahead. No problem.
Want to change your mouse while your working on a PC? Well... you'll need to shut down and switch out the mouse and then restart.
You're lying. First of, please specify the OS. Plug and Play was a major part of Windows 98. You can unplug your USB mouse and plug it right in and it works.
