    • It's not fair how strong the Azdgari are.........

      I think the Igadzra should have an incredible shield raising tech, and the Zidagar
      should be able to get a madly powerful rocket.

    • I'll never betray my beloved taskdrone by indulging in this blasphemy :). Anyway, the taskdrone is small, very maneuverable, and the only thing that makes it better than all of your ships is, you don't have to even be inside the damn thing. Base ship controlled, why didn't anybody think to cheat on this topic by using that?

    • I think there are several ships in the game that could become ultimate ships with just a few modifications. The voinian cruiser is way too slow, ditto for the ue cruiser. But I really prefer something like a lazira. My dream ship is a lazira with boosts in shields and armor (say 700 more for shields, 500 for armor), room for another turret, and about 60-75 more tons of weapon space. I'd pay as much for that as a crescent warship, easily, although I think the cost of a ship is really besides the point. Once you reach a certain point in the game money is no object.

    • Carn, your picking apart of the Voinian Cruiser to make the ultimate ship was quite good... but, I disagree on a few points.

      1. The SAE/SAD's are useless. I'd rather have the extra armor instead of the secondary space.
      2. Your choice of primary weaponry... well, I'm not a big fan of phase turrets. Even if you have 6 of 'em, it still does minimal damage to armor. I'd suggest all neutron turrets, or perhaps 3 phase and 3 neutron?

      Everything else looks very good. Great analysis!

      Oh... and the name... well, Cerberus is pretty cool, but if this is the ultimate ship, no one should be able to destroy it.... Hercules was able to go down the underworld, scoop Cerberus up, take him back above, and then bring him down again and put him back. We don't want a ship that can have that done to it! 😄

      1. A medium ship with fairly weak shields and okay armor, with very fast acceleration and high top speed, good for sudden bursts. Maybe 1 Phase turret.

      You may be saying- "That's the stupidest idea for a ship I've ever heard of, krait excluded!"

      Here's the catch- Its secondary weapon is a ram, used for crashing into enemy ships. What you do is, you make a cannon weapon with very fast firing speed but no range. No graphics needed, although for a particle ram you could have a warm glow. You would have it make a very big explosion and big kickback on both sides

      It would need to do large damage, since as soon as you hit the other ship your ship and the opponant would go flying.

      Neutron Turrets are far too slow to be of any use. But, I geuss you could do 3 phase and 3 neutron. How about getting rid of all the SAEs and SAE Launchers and using that space for more hunter missiles and armor?

      Hmmm.... Good point. After all, Pursuit Missiles do damage armor a lot, just not as much as Hunters.

    • Everybody has a different taste in secondaries. The Cerberus should maybe not
      have any to buy, so you can fit them in.

      But in battle it should use some secondaries. Can't decide which....

    • Well, I actually made a Cerberus Battlecruiser with Shipwrite, and it worked out okay. It did have most of the weak points you guys mentioned, but it was overall a very good ship.

      The SAE's of course messed up about half the time, but when they did hit is was pretty good. The Hunter Missiles may not be perfect, but on that ship they were necessary in Voinian space to counter the crappiness (against Voinians) of the Phase turrets. I didn't really test it in the Crescent, but with that many phase turrets, and that amount of shields and armor, plus the great maneuverability... I'm sure it would have kicked ass.

      I'd love to come up with an idea, but I can't find a website that shows ALL
      ship specs, all ships, and all outfit sizes and limits. If anyone knows where
      I can find one, I'd be very grateful.
