I just read about the "whip" maneuver, and i wanna talk about the cool stratagies i use.

Living shield: When under heavy fire, hide behind larger ships. If the ship is a military vessle, it will often fight back and severly damage or destroy your attacker. If its just a freighter, then at least you'll survive for a while longer.

Melee maneuver: Fly right on top of an unsuspecting vessle before opening up with all the weapons you have (excluding anthing that could damage you too). Be sure to stay on top until its disabled. If you have fighters, launch them before hand. This is good for 2 reasons; if done well, no shot is wasted, and it is useful in ares where a misplaced shot could get you in trouble with local authorities.

The computer seems to change mine. I used the same password for 2 forums, the passwoed didn't work (even though it worked before!) and when i asked for it by email, the password it gave me was completly different, but the same for the 2 forums!!
Help needed!

Don't knock on the gates of hell, ring the doorbell, it drives them crazy.

I've used the 'living shield' mainly with captured freighter escorts. They may be weak as.. weak stuff.. but as they're escorts you can shoot through them and keep hitting your target while it can't hit you.

And I used to use the 'melee manoeuvre' a lot, especially on big crescent ships as the phase turrets often miss at point blank range, especially if you've got a small craft :).

I don't think I have any unique battle strategies.. and I don't know anything about your password problem :frown:.

I've got a good strategy I use on Voinians. I call it the "Tuck and Roll".

I generaly use this in a fast, manoeverable ship, such as a Crescent Fighter. This works well to avoid Neutron Fire, and even a few rockets. If fighting say a Voinian Cruiser, and you are under fire, do a small 360, and usually you will avoid most Neutron shots. It's hard to explain

Does someone else have access to your computer? It could be that (if you have "remember my password and cookies on) that someone that uses you computer and goes to the same boards you do can is automatically still logged in under your name. They can then post as you, or even change you profile or password. You probably should log out from any forums you use before you leave them each seesion.

I have a cool strategy, I don't really have a name for it, but anyway.... It works best with a small fast fighter. What you do is fly in circles around a big ship, turning so you can hit it with your cannons or whatever. And a lot of times phase turrets from warships aren't very accurate or they're kind of slow when they're turning or something and if you go fast enough they won't hit you.

You're just repeating all of that, so message something on it to bring it to the
top so people will have a wider range of tactics around (we got loads).
