I like to keep neutral.

So I only pirate pirates.

In the original EV, nobody but pirates hated me (I killed pirates to get back
on good terms with the side I didn't play as).

In EVO, only Voinian and one of the Strand hate me. For example, I work for
Zidagar, pilot an Igazra and aid the Igadzra if there isn't a Zidagar around, and kill
Azdgari.

I get Zidagar attacking me, though. Lol.

I had a pilot where just the Azdgari and pirate systems were hostile.. and I dominated most of them :). Worked for both the Zidagar and Igadzra and had an Igazra with phased beam. I would side with the pirates if it was slightly more exciting - like if they could get up and do in some human systems - or just had more to their own name, and maybe more interesting technology. I'd probably even fly a turncoat occasionally, if you could sell the lame krait bay!

Actually, it is possible to play the Igadzra string and that of one other strand without any plug-ins, you just have to try and balance it so that your record stays pretty with both governments.

Exactly.. I've been involved in several discussions about playing both on the board already, recently :). Get the Igadzra 'eels' mission from Kitrak, then get the Zidagar mission from Pozdag-3, complete it, head on to Igadzra and deliver them the eels, get their next mission from the bar, then head up to Zidagar as you were told to from Pozdag-3. Then just always keep one mission of each active, and you can end up with the systems of both of them saying you're a role model :).. plus of course an Igazra with a phased beam and still 4 phase turrets, and 10 jumps of fuel.. and Zidagar ECM + SAEs.. lovely.

You can go Azdgari and Igadzra as well, but it's very touch and go.. start at Kitrak and get the eels, then B-line it too South tip Station, best in a miranu courier, as you have no time to stop for fuel - scoop it or plunder it on the way. Get Azdgari mission at South tip Station, make your delivery to Igadzra and get their next mission, collect stuff from the derelict arada and get to Outpost Rai.. you'll have 1 day to spare :).

I agree with Black Beard. Although I'm not exactly a renagade, I do smuggle a lot of Saalian brandy. That means I have to keep all pirates happy with me. It's also a good idea for me to keep on good terms with the the Strandless renagades, since I have to go through there to sell weapons. I try not to get to many governments ****** at me, so I only have done the first few Renagade missions. Still, what I do is very Profitable! Renagades are cool!

Hehe, yep - delivering that stuff to them is a nice gesture.. but the UE patrols can be a bit mean if they find out. I don't really see why they don't want the pirates to have the brandy anyway.

And yes, the renegades are cool - but would be better if their mission strings went further, and simply if there was a string for the South Tip ones.. I mean 2 systems to their name is a bit lame (no rhyme intended), and they should at least have missions equivalent to the Strandless 'Hunt renegade' missions. I remember the Strandless vs. South Tip Renegade battles were the first I saw of the crescent - after I had captured a Voinian Supply Ship as escort and headed off to do some Duios-Tibidat trading. A very nice place to do trading, as when you get a bit of money you can get a nice ship, and keep on doing defend and hunt missions for the strandless - it's just a shame that those are ultimately pointless :frown:.
