    • Nohrga Village...need help

I followed the instructions to the North Gidolan Tunnel Entrance but having trouble getting there. I may be trying to get there as a Ranger too soon. I am at level 13 with my armor being 37. I crossed the bridge NW of the ruins of the plain of the endless wind. Then found the cave along the river...entered killed a a manicore and several Rock Imps, then exited out of the cave after I traveled over a wooden bridge. I started to head south 4 screens and ran into several Earth Elementals & Wyrms. I ran as fast as I could past them. Problem is...I don't know where I am at. Am I going the right way? Trying to find the NG Tunnel and head north.

      Any suggestions?

      Help is appreciated.

I made it in to the Guardian with the Swordsman (without the Trinity plugin), but got trounced in several seconds.

    • Do you have the Kingdom Map? Tunnel entrances are marked on that map, which can be found in the Learning Tree. Try starting over and using the map to track your position as you go through the forest.

    • No, I don't have the Kingdom Map yet. I think I'm jumping the gun.

Right now, I am at Fungus's Getaway, although I have been using Ducky's map. It's frustrating because I know that I have been there...just can't remember.

If you've been to level 1 of the Learning Tree then you have the kingdom map. It will be in your inventory. Use it and you will see a map of the entire kingdom; tunnels are marked by red dots on the map.

Fungus's getaway is tile "90" on RD's map. You are 1 square east of the N. Gidolan tunnel entrance. Head 1 square west and head towards the northern exit of the map and head east. The tunnel is in the northeastern portion of the map. Pretty much just hug the northern border when you enter this map and follow it as itr curves around and you should run into the tunnel entrance.

    • Stark,

Thanks! I had no idea what tile I was on.

I shouldn't have, but was too eager and skipped the learning tree. I know...need to go back.

      Anyway, I appreciate the help!

Hi jgl, Welcome to the boards. If you want a map at your elbow as you play, you can easily print one by clicking the link in my signature below. It prints on seven pages, with another page which shows how they all fit together. That way you won't get lost and you can figure out which might be the best routes to take. Good luck with your games. ~RD

The (url="http://"http://www.evula.org/rduck/")Kingdom of Garendall(/url) sectional map is easily printed from gif format pages.
Find those areas you missed the first time around. You'll want to explore those hidden areas now made accessible with Spells Expander.

Thanks Rubber Ducky. In fact, I already had your map printed...but because I didn't have much armor, the bad guys were coming in pairs & triads..so I had to run. Needless to say, I got lost in the forest.

I am currently in the Village and making purchases. Too bad I don't have enough at the moment for the Wolf Claws

Particularly if you exploit the, in my opinion, bug in the village's bartering system which will allow your ranger to very quickly have unlimited gold at his disposal.

I am not familiar with this, but I assume you mean some sort of buy here and sell there at a higher price tactic.

      Correct.

Nohrga village sells at below cost prices, and you can easily turn around and sell at one of the "higher priced" shops for a profit.

The fastest route is to buy a supply of nohrga village gate stones, and a supply of Gwyden Camp gate stones, and teleport back and forth buying at the village and selling at the camp.

Millions of gold in minutes. It is absolutely sickening.

You got it. One square south and one square east is Fungus' Getaway. 🙂

      But that requires foot work.

Much easier (and faster) to just use gate stones.

Yes, but they cost money. Granted, it's not that much but I'm the type of guy who still bends over to pick up pennies off the ground. 🙂

True. However, factor in the cost of transportation(wearing out your boots, the possibly harm you might take by fighting through ogres on your way to market, etc) plus the cost of your time(how much are you worth)? Also, factor in that trade is much faster through gate stones and thus the profit turned in the same amount of time will be greater with the purchase of the stones than without them.

      🙂

You win. I conceed. I knew you'd come up with a rebuttal.

Well, if the previous argument didn't sway you I had one in reserve that I knew would be a wringer: the Mr. T argument.

"I pity da foo who don't use gate stones!"

And how can you argue with Mr. T?

    • Why don't you just portal 😛 It is free AND it saves time. Or even better, you can use the PoG dev (but that is cheating). All you have to do is cast moki then, make sure you have a mana potion on hand to get to Fungus (either refresh and fight, or portal) and, as they say, "rinse and repeat!!!"

      EDIT: typos

Probably because Master Norhga won't sell to conjurers, and ranger's can't cast spells.

    • well...there are plugins that...well then you could just make people give out free stuff. Hmmm...maybe there should be a place where they give out free apples 🙂
