I had just recently finished all mission strings availible to me. I went with UE Finished it. I went with Azdgari. Finished it. I explored the nebulae. Finished it. I helped in making the needle jammer. Finished it. I saved Anna Balashova. Finished it. I helped destroy The Rock. Finished it. I needed a new challenge, I didn't feel like doing small UE raids on Ylynn, and I didn't feel like defending the whatever system from any threats, and I didn't feel like bounty hunting, and I didn't feel like going on Azdgari Raids. I wanted a REAL CHALLENGE! The idea of "Domination" sprung into my head! I thought over, while drifting in the Azdgari system, with Azdaras darting around me either trying to impress me, or just scan me, or bug me. Anyway, I thought over, "Who do I start with in the domination process? Voinians? Nah, too far away. Zidagar? Nah, fighters too annoying right now. Igadzra? Nah, I don't feel like fighting The Big Yellow ahem. Renegades? Nah, not fun. Then who?" If you haven't figured it out yet. "COUNCIL!" popped into my head. I dominated the whole galaxy in EV, but had never dominated even one system before in EVO. I have read in stories created that the Council uses Crescent Warships, ofcourse, those are stories. I didn't really know what I was up against, but I was expecting to deal with all varieties of Crescent Ships. A few Crescent Fighters, a few Aradas, a few Laziras, and a few Crescent Warships. I was partially right. I got to the Gadzair system, where I have been branded as "Galactic Scourge". How welcoming and friendly they are  ! So I landed on Gadzair, recharge the small dent in my shields made by a stupid Igadzra Arada and his stupid Dispy. rocket in a system or two back. After recharging, I took off, and scanned the system. A merchant arada was in the system, and nothing else. I hailed him, trying to make like a warning hail with the greetings and request assistance buttons, but he didn't get it, so I just closed the connection. I hailed Council Station, and got a friendly greeting of "What do you you want?". I ammused myself and asked for a bribe, they replied with "Are you trying to insult us?". This pissed me off. So I ended the conversation, and blasted the afterburners for a second, to get myself in "Monty-Python Position" and then rehailed the station. I demanded tribute and got back, "Eat vacumn sucker, our defense fleet is on its way." I responded by saying, "BRING IT B***H!" and ended the conversation ! Well, what I got next, reminded me of that horrifying battle at The Rock. Not 10, luckily, but 5 simultaneous fighter bays opening came through the speakers. WOOSH! WOOSH! WOOSH! Next I saw big red dots swarmed around the Station, and a mini swarm of 15 Crescent Fighters heading towards me  . I got ready to blast the bugs, and it wasn't as hard as the rock, but they brought my shields down a bit. After killing them, I saw, what I later called "The Original Cluster". It was the 5 Crescent Warships, all huddled together, keeping eachother warm. How sweet  . I selected my Hunter Missiles, and targeted my nearst hostile. My plan was to destroy one of the original cluster, thus making a spot for a new guy to come out, and keep destroying the new guy until only the original cluster remained. I knew, no matter what I did, if I were able to survive, this would take HOURS. But I was ready! So I began firing a barage of hunter missiles, and took his shields down to 63% or so. I then decided to reserve the remaining hunter missiles for later purposes. However, I made a fatal mistake. When the original swarm of CFs came at me, I had a little fun, and blasted them with phase fire AND a few hunter missils, thus wastign precious rockets. This was a fatal mistake because I, later on, could've REALLY used those missiles! Anyway, drinks a little Saalian Brandy I got up to the original cluster, and began hammering on the CW I had fired the hunter missiles at. Ofcourse, because this was a cluster, I got more of a hammering, than he did. Also, phase turrets fire farther than swivel phase cannons, so they had a MAJOR advantage over my battle-weary Firebird-1. I was able to, however, withstand the attack, by afterburning in and out of range, while hammering down with MY phase fire, eventually killing the guy. When he blew up, I zoomed off, as I was at about 20% armor. When he blew up, I heard the notorious, WOOSH! WOOSH! WOOSH! Of another Council Warship blasting off to replace the fallen one. The three little Crescent Flies came at me, and I blew them up, one by one. And because I had dragged the original cluster out so far, the new guy was all by himself. So I blasted over to him, after recouperating my armor and a little of my shields, and began hammering on him. This was MUCH easier then the original cluster, because, duh, it was one Council Warship instead of 5! However, I tried to kill him as quickly as possible, so I could get in a lot of kills before the original cluster caught up. I blew up 3 or 4 Council Warships before I had trouble with the original cluster. When they DID catch up, I was just finishing pummeling the 4th new guy, and he blew up. Now I had a major problem. The original cluster, made up of 4 Council Warships so close together it looked like 3, had combined with the 5th new guy. I blasted out of the phase fire, and prepared to kill the Council Flies. After killing them, I zoomed back, and found the original cluster, hadn't quite brought the new guy in. He was still kinda isolated, but they were in firing range if I circled around the new guy. This left me with monty pythoning the new guy, which couldn't really work well, as he had the range advantage. So I recharged the shields a bit, and prepared to endure constant phase fire. Luckily, the original cluster didn't intervene until he was around 3% shields. However, when they did come, I was also around 35% armor. So lasted out a bit longer, long enough to get the new guy to blow his shields off. I HAD to use my afterburners and jump away from them now, as I was around maybe 3% armor from all the phase fire. I had 8 hunter missiles left, and I used all but two, to finish off the new guy. Why so many? I wanted full recharged shields before I went back in, and this gave him time to recharge as well. I may be a faster recharger than he, but I had to recharge almost all my armor, and all my shields. So, when I blew him up, I had 2 hunter missiles left. And a new, new guy came out, and the usual had to take place. So I blew up the flies, and blasted back towards the original cluster and the new guy. Now I had a MAJOR MAJOR problem  ! The original cluster had split into two groups! At first, I thought, "Oh excellent! I can kill some of the original cluster, isolating two guys instead of one!" WRONGO! The Council Warships were literally, ON TOP of each other. There was no indication that there were 5 guys in those 2 groups. I didn't know that. All I saw were three big blobs on the radar. I zoomed past the first, and what I learned was a group of 2 morons, and got rained on by phase fire. I kept heading towards the 2nd group, and what I thought was one guy, split into two guys! takes a drink of his Saalian Brandy So the Original Cluster was now Original Cluster plus New Guy. I was basically screwed  ! I deicded to maybe try and kill two guys at once. I managed to kill one of them, but was in BAD shape. I was around maybe 15% armor when one guy died, and since this group was close to the station, I was bombarded by a Council Warship on either side of me. I tried to blast off and prepare to kill the flies once more, but, I could not make it. I was blown up before I could get out of their range. I went down hard, and not without a fight. And even though I was in defeat, I felt proud of my ship, and myself for being able to take down quite a few Crescent Warships! One of these days I'll be able to take over that blasted station.
