    • Shield Generator Thingie

Has anyone ever had an Azdgari Shield Generator blow up on them before? I want to get one, but I don't want to risk my ship blowing up.

    • You've got to be kidding. Of course not.

    • LOL!!

No, you're ship can't blow up. You can only buy one anyway. I apologize, but thats the funniest thing I have ever heard!

    • The description thing said it could overload explosively, so I wanted to make sure.

    • You'll have to wait for EVN. EVO doesn't allow outfits to destroy your own ship(except weapons). I don't even know if EVN will.

    • Hey, don;t make fun of him. There was a time when we where all newbies, and that scared us, too!

      Happy St. Patrick's Day!

    • You should, however, heed the warning on space mines. Not because they'll most likey blow you up, but because they're illegal.

Great game, gotta check it out!(url="http://"http://pub29.ezboard.com/b20")--20--(/url)

    • Well that's the current version and it's also what you download, so I assumed that's what most people play.

    • I've had 1.0.1 for God knows how long and I don't intend on changing my version either!!!! As for the Shield Generator thing, they just do that to make it seem more real, since it probably would explode under the conditions listed in the Outfit Description.

    • I stuck with 1.0.1 for a long time too, but the prospect of a smarter AI lured me in...

Only if you set several of them, and the game does only allow you to set 1 on your ship

    • The AI isn't really that much different. The only real difference is they won't fall for the Monty Python as easily and they have afterburners with an infinate amount of feul (until you board them, then they only have a few jumps).

Granted, at higher combat levels it gets pretty good and fighter swarms can cause you problems, but the player can still take advantage of the AI.

Note, however, that if someone were to make a plug raising the skill variance of all EVO ships all the way up to 50%, the AI ships would be much harder to deal with. The capability of very tough AI ships is possible in 1.0.2, its just not exploited as much as it could be. However, I defy you guys to do some minor plug work and try it for yourselves. 🙂 Maybe the first one to do it could place it in the add-on section, so others can download it if they feel up to a fresh challenge?

    • Remember how in EV original, fighters would just fly straight at you? In EVO 1.0.2, fighters swarm around you, rather than coming really close. The AI also seems smarter when fighting other AIs instead of the player. This is especially noticable when a UE fighter is shooting up a Helian.

    • Actually, that's included in (url="http://"http://www.geocities.com/destiny_plugs/EVO/evo_enhancer.html")EVO Enhancer(/url), which is not in the final stages of Beta and should be ready very soon. If anyone else wants to help beta test it it will only be doen sooner.
