first off, how do I defeat the Dreadnought. I have a courier ship ( the one that kind of looks like a pitch fork head) and don't only have 6hundredthousand some odd credits.
Second. I am working heavily with UE. But after the Dreadnought I plan to venture to other regions. Will who i side with in those other wars and systems effect my relations with UE?

Best tactic against Dreadnought: Monty Python.
Equip your Lazira with three Phase Turrets, a Rocket Launcher, and load it with Rockets.
Let the UE Destroyers go down fighting, then match speeds with the Dreadnought and fire away. If the Dreadnought gets too close, retreat and repeat. It takes 3100 phase shots to kill the thing. Good luck!

OK. What Blackdog said for the Dreadnought is pretty good, and after you do that, siding with any other war outside UE space won't affect your record in UE space at all. I hope this helps!!

A mission to the outpost that you want should appear 1/4 times. It gives you extra ships to defeat and extra allies. the extra allies will quickly defeat the extra enmies and then destroy the Dreadnought.

And welcome to the webboard!

Phase turrets?Against Voinians?
Oh, now I get it!

Accuracy, yes. That's the key. And long range. Emalgha or Blaze Turrets against the Voinian Dreadnought would be a very bad idea. Even though it would only take 850 Emalgha shells to kill it, getting that close would be, well, bad.

The fifteen or so fighters the dreadnought carries will likely be the first thing you have to deal with, which is fine, since they are very slow for fighters and probably the most vulnerable ship in the game to the Monty Python maneuver, especially in a Lazira. While you do this, the UE destroyers accompanying you will take on the dreadnought itself. Don't worry if they all die, they always do. Once all the Voinian fighters and UE ships are dead, Monty Python any other big Voinian ships, than go for the dreadnought. Don't be fooled if it says "shield down," like all Voinian ships, it has much more armor, and this one has A LOT (1500). Monty Python will work. And if you want to use phase weapons, use cannons, not turrets, because they have more range, and if you hold down "A" (autopilot) you will always face your target ship. Just make sure not to use autopilot and the thrust key (up) are you'll fly right at it and be toast!. Of course, using cannons means you have to turn to face the dreadnought to hit it. But this isn't a problem if you can match its speed or be slightly slower, so that you don't need to move out of range often.
